Re: Ride Downtime 2016

So posters have appeared around Galactica today saying the ride will be open but not using VR. Shame really but for 35 headsets to have broke over the weekend and the VR not being used for now could this mean its a bit more of VR system issue rather than Individual headset glitches?

Re: Florida holiday Sep 2017

Thanks for the replies. Caribbean beach was coming out cheapest for the moderate hotels. The reviews for Caribbean beach hotel seem to be quite positive! In regards to staying at Disney i think we have mainly decided to stay there mainly to make things a bit easier for our first time. I know there a...

Re: Alton Towers - Offers, Vouchers and Discounts

I booked enchanted lodge yesterday for fireworks using sun code - £65 cant go wrong for that! There was no option for park tickets! One thing kelloggs are doing with cereals though - they are printed the usual 2 for 1 voucher on the side of the box but they are also printing a code on the inside ena...

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

I was suprised at how much sonic theming was still their,

The main entrance signs, on all the cars, roof of the station, photo booth, and the announcements were still the sonic ones!

Thought they may have changed it all over the closed season!

Thanks lewis97! Photos are up : http://imgur.com/a/nm3zG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The main reason i noticed was due to all the white pieces of paint that were floating in the water underneath! http://i.imgur.com/NyV93Rw.jpg http://i.imgur.com/4Vk3yBF.jpg

Re: Ride Closures/Removals in 2016

All signage from hex has been removed - even the banners to the side of the doors have been removed - if you had never been to AT you wouldnt realise that it used to be a ride!

Re: Towers Loving Care

The park is really starting to look tidier! Not sure if they are having problems with the nemesis repaint though :/ - the white basecoat appears to be flaking off in quite large chunks especially around the loop area - i know the paint will wear off where the wheels run but there are large areas fla...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

The image of the smiler room is actually bei...

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

None of the branding has been removed from the ride itself - all the sonic logos are still on the signs around the ride and on the ride cars.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Just had an email through regarding towers opening on 13th & 18th march for services days. I will hopefully be going on 13th :) They have stated that both air and the smiler will be closed for these events. No mention of anything else. I would have thought that this would be an ideal soft openin...

Re: Fireworks 2015

I really enjoyes this years display! I like having a proper theme/story to it and just wish they would use more of the rides theme tunes!

Question to anyone who went on sunday - did they manage to get the sonic visualizer fixed so the fireworks off that worked?

The way the track is in the background it suggest this is possibly a stock photo and not one taken from the crash site.

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Perhaps AT have recieved two halves of the trains that were undamaged - enabling them to have one extra train, i cannot see how allowing AT to have thos parts of the trains back would affect the investigation as surely its just the impact point/damaged parts they would be interested in? Does anyone ...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Saw has re-opened at Thorpe today which would suggest that either; A.) Alton Towers are confident that there is not an issue with the ride system Or B.) there was a problem and they have now rectified this on saw during its closed period Either way it suggests that Alton are now confident they know ...
