Re: Exposé Claims Disney Attempt to Control Online Fan Communities and Shareholders

Disney really needs to be careful. Bob Iger needs to watch his back. The perverbial storm is approaching fast. Been keeping up to date with Disney mishaps with regards to Star Wars.. the future doesn't look good at all. With rumoured plans of Galaxy's Edge turning into an Aladdin themed area if the ...

That ride actually fits the layout of the proposed details. Think you hit the nail on the head with that one.

I suspect it's neither. The term bear with us is the correct spelling. :)

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I saw several news companies bring up the 2015 incident again, with some saying the crash happened at 90mph which is very impressive seeing as we don't have a coaster in the UK that reaches that speed! During the investigation after the incident, it was calculated that the force of the crash was eq...

Re: Kankaria Adventure Park

"Completely avoidable" is a strong word to use considering we don't know anything of what's happened, obviously mechanical failure looking at the video, however, till a official report is released stating the cause of failure it's all just guess work.  Check out the park, it l...

RIDE INCIDENT Well.. it comes just a few weeks after the ride in Uzbekistan accident occured. Now a similar attraction has had the same accident, with 2 dead and 29 people reportedly taken to hospital. Footage is shocking, and may be disturbing for some viewers. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/950806...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

So just avoid any confusion, what exactly could this mean for Alton Towers and Thorpe just out of curiosity? Do Merlin still own these sites or have they been sold off to Blackstone? Sorry I'm dumb :lol At the moment Merlin are still the same Merlin they were before this announcement. The proposed ...

Updated website https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D-Ez33SW4AAhYk5.jpg A teaser for the plans were dropped. Shows a few coaster squiggles, one of which I'm pretty sure is a Maurer Spike (weird choice based on how unreliable and apparently boring they are), plus I believe it will go here, based on the plan...

Uzbekistan, Jizzakh, Istiqlol Amusement Park

RIDE INCIDENT I cannot for the life of me find this amusement park on the internet, like it's home page or something. However an incredible incident has happened on one of their rides, a swinging pendulum ride that supposedly does a complete 360, has come apart from its main swing arm. Killing a gi...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Quite amazed how 1 ride opens, and another begins construction.. this being the case, could see a very possible 2020 opening. 2 world class coasters in the space of 1 year? What even is this?! It's just the kind of development you'd expect to see from the 6th largest theme park operator in the worl...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

So, with Hagrids ride now open.. track for the new Jurassic World coaster has begun to arrive. From the looks of the track, the rumour that it would be a Mack coaster was just a rumour. As the track resembles Intamin's latest additions globally. Midway Mayhem has a very nice video of the few track p...

Yep, I think the last piece was actually installed on 25th April. By far the best place to find regular(ish) English language updates, photos and videos, etc., is the F.L.Y. / Rookburgh topic on Coasterforce.

Sound! Cheers, will keep a close eye on this one!

Re: Phantasialand

So errr... Word on the street is that F.L.Y has had its final track piece installed.. like last month.. apparently 2 supports still wait in the car park as work on the hotel is needed first before adding the final pieces..

Anyone heard anything recently? Or new photos or news?

I'm just looking forward to riding this coaster, and not having my shoulders hurt after with the new trains :lol

So apart from the first drop being different to Colossus, is there any other differences?
