Or you could go the austerity route, cutting services and opening times. Tesco tried this when their 'something for everyone' policy backfired. It made things worse for a while before they started rebounding. It also happened to American Adventure and Pleasureland Southport. Southport was closed b...
The only difference I can tell from those on Mystic Timbers, and on SW8, they face the opposite direction from that on Mystic Timbers, than on SW8.. I'm not saying they are anti-rollback.. things.. but I understand why they could of been anti-rollback.. things (what are they?). because on Mystic Ti...
My bad. Haha. In all seriousness though, a retheme wouldn't be that much, would it concerning the total SW8 cost - who know's, the price may already be in with the budget.
Just to be awkward, but I see people keep saying the Mutiny Bay has too many attractions, what are they? To me there just is Battle Galleons, Sharkbait Reef and the old teacups.
Further to Cap'n Barnacle's post above, I was on park yesterday and got similar photos, however there is also this: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y173/xylyx/20171006_131221.jpg Which clearly shows the themeing object is going to be a horned wicker duck. The curse of the rubber duck from the old...
I guess the name will be 'Wicker Man' as the logo is in the shape of a stickman. I have no qualms over that name, how many would've thought 'The Smiler' was a good name at the start? The logo I do like, it's so simple yet effective. As soon as you see it in the future, you'll know what it is for.
^I think it'll be more for aesthetics or theming, not a wall or fence for anything. Looking at the terrain levels, if it were for viewing or access, it wouldn't be as hilly.
A short burst of flame as every other train passes will probably not affect a wooden structure. Only a constant source of heat will create a danger. Valhalla at Blackpool has massive, and relatively close to the ride vehicle fire effects - and that's indoor!
Could envelope one have been removed altogether? AS if there was a covered area there, akin to the old flume station it'll distract from the ride aesthetics, How they have it now, as in a big open area will look better and add to feel so much more.
I've no idea as to why they don't use printed concrete. It's becoming more popular in driveways and the like. Surely it'd be much easier than laying them ugly bricks.
It would've been nice to see it go into the trees more like the flume did. However, the height would've been an issue and no doubt they are under some sort of protection.
Great photos, Justin! The wrapped up pieces... I wonder why those pieces specifically need extra protection? Could these possibly be moving elements? Getting exited now! I'd be more inclined to say these are in the finished state or have had some paint primer already painted on. The protection th...
I believe that you are correct in that it will look like the figure is breaking out of the ground. On some higher quality photos that can't be posted onto the forum yet you can see some rockwork along the top of the structure, near the horns. This will add to the effect of the figure bursting out f...
I'm sure you have noted the complete lack of banking on the turn which would suggest a low speed at this point, hopefully this is for a reason or another banked section will be added on top, rather than the coaster slowing down... :nervious: Hopefully, it's just an area where the speed will still ...
