Florida 2018

Hi All, I am currently looking into a trip to Florida. It looks like it would potentially be June but I am not sure how busy it is likely to be. We are thinking of maybe doing 3 weeks though to take time doing things and having a rest and relax in the midst of the mayhem. Any thoughts at all are wel...

Re: Galactica - 2016 Air Re-theme

I rode Galactica for the first time yesterday afternoon, row 7 seat 2 and was more than dubious as I can get motion sick, and found it absolutely incredible, the video quality was fantastic (TIP would be to make sure that you really do tighten the headstrap as I spent 90% of the ride clinging onto t...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

It's very frustrating as I had 2 days off together from work... I have plans already for my booked holiday so I don't know whether I'll get back to Thorpe before October (depending when my friends are off/getting a hotel that isn't too expensive/hitting a day when Thorpe is open/providing I am not w...

Re: Orlando & Tampa Trip Help

Thanks everyone so far! Any recommendations on excursions other than the main parks? We visited a town called Christmas, which was a really quaint little place which had a Christmas tree up all year. Maybe worth a couple of hours. JCP, I'm as entitled to contribute to a topic, regardless of how lon...

Re: Orlando & Tampa Trip Help

I agree with Ponder. We did all the main parks (except IOA and Busch Gardens) and none of the water parks (though did revisit Disney parks with a hopper) in a fortnight and had to have a few chill out days because you were looking at 14/15hr theme park days. We ate at a place I think was called Pond...

September in Salou

As most know, I spent a week in Salou 5th-12th September. I stayed at the EuroSalou hotel, which was lovely and I would recommend. A taxi to PortAventura from here was around €7-10. We flew from Stansted at lunchtime and arrived at the hotel at 15.30 (I went with my boyfriend and 2 of my friends who...

Re: Fright Nights

Does anyone know when the line-up will be announced?? :-k I would imagine early September. They are currently focusing on Island Beats which ends next week i believe. But this is only a guess. You can already pre-book tickets for the Fright Nights via the Thorpe Park website. Information must be du...

I was at university and graduated in 2011 if that's of any help? I can't imagine students would need much different storage to those nowadays :P

Re: Books

I'm a big Dean Koontz fan, especially the Odd Thomas series, something about the occult, supernatural side of fiction really appeals to me :) Also had a big thing for the Power of Five series by Anthony Horowitz in my younger years :) Occult and supernatural is pretty cool, read a series of books c...

Books

I just wondered, what books do you like to read?

I've just finished the latest book by Scott Mariani in his Ben Hope Series and also rather keen on Lee Child, but wondered what things you like for some new ideas for books to read!
