Re: 2014-2019: Possible Developments?

I think that Alton seriously needs some new flat rides because I think in that area the park is most lacking. I can't really remember a recent, thrilling flat ride investment by Alton. Anyone got any ideas of modern flats that AT could invest in?  :| Edit: Now I think of it, I guess sub-terra i...

Re: What did you ride on your first visit?

I wasn't tall enough for the 1.4m rides but I remember The Flume and Hex. My biggest memory was my confusion at what just happened after getting off Hex.

Re: SW8?

With a B&M Hyper, they could dig underground, like they have done with Nemesis, Air and Oblivion.  Don't you think that for it to be worth it, you would have to dig a long way. On top of that the keys parts to a hyper is airtime and height and digging down will eliminate all that hei...

Re: Intamin Mega-Lite Coaster for the Towers?

Not sure exactly, and it varies around the park which is why they float balloons when surveying an area for a new ride, but a good guess would be to look at Th13teen's lift hill, the peak of which is pretty much as high as they can go in that area. Wasn't The Smiler quoted as having 30m drops? ...

Re: Nemesis Backwards!

Nemesis going backwards would get rid of the charm about the ride. In all honesty, rides aren't really enhanced much by going backwards. Went on The Swarm backwards the other day and although it looks cool watching the track fly past from underneath you, the ride experience is basically the same as...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I feel like I have been alone against the 'look at the facts' people. However AT decide to open the ride it wont suit everyone. If it opens tomorrow that's the worst case scenario for me as I have not been given the opportunity to make it up there. As most of my posts this afternoon have been delet...

I think we should just sit back and be patient. The moment will come. The fingers point towards an opening tomorrow but we don't have proof in writing so we just have to wait and see. :moj

Re: Your Very First Rollercoaster!

When I was younger I had a minor fear of rides but I was always interested in watching them. Obviously, I wasn't tall enough for most of this time. Then when i was at the pleasure beach for some reason I just said 'Why not?' and went on the big one. After I had realised what I had done I got a sudde...

I totally agree that a mental indoor ride should be built. It would be class. It is something this country really needs.  :P

Last time I looked, they are currently a cream sort of colour. Are they staying this way as it just looks like they've faded?

Re: what type of major flat would you like to see next?

Tbh I don't think we will ever see a flat ride that is a substantial drop on a drop tower. Basically, due to sub-terra is pretty much a drop tower and we have the tree-line rule.
