Re: Thorpe Park - Lift Hill Walks

Thanks Rockstar, it does seem fairly easy to book one of these nowadays thanks to Merlin's new 'VIP Experiences': Lift Hill Walk Package

Admittedly £50 per person seems a little steep, I'll wait and see if any other forum members have experience of these :)

Lift Hill Walks

Hello, I'm currently looking at booking a 'lift hill' experience at Thorpe Park for my trip in June (obviously happy to share photos etc once it's done). Has anyone done one yet? Either Thorpe Park or Alton Towers, would like to know what's involved, how long it takes etc and Thorpe Park customer se...

Re: Best ride at port aventura

I'd say definitely Shambhala, smooth, fast and just excellent really beautiful ride! Aside from the roughness the staff when I went are exceptionally slow and the queue time was regularly over 1h 30 Queue time is long for Furius Baco earlier in the day as it's the first main coaster to open - avoid ...

Re: So has The Smiler topped Nemesis?

Easily. After queuing for Smiler for nearly 3 hours a week or so back everything after seemed...boring to be honest. Nemesis was over far too soon even on the front row it didn't hold it's appeal. Funnily, Air seemed more intense than Nemmy after Smiler...maybe it's because you are on your front et...

I have voted for Oblivion because it would be really good to go backwards on the vertical drop! So Oblivion would get my vote! :D

Definitely! This would be incredible, especially if it was possible (I know it isn't) to only do it in the dark for Scarefest... imagine!

Re: 2013 Offers, Deals, Vouchers and Discounts

Reading a magazine and I've just come across a KitKat advert, apparently there is some form of '1/2 price for up to 4 people' and 20% off retail voucher on packs of 8 two finger KitKats. This is what i used on my trip a few weeks back. The 20% off retail voucher is a bonus. You cannot use it for fo...

Also fast-track wise, I bought mine at about 9:45 and my slot was 11:45 - 12:45.

Mine was £7 (people on here said they were £10?)

I've heard she's open but ridetimes.co.UK is down so can't see how the queues are.

Ride times is back up, confirming that Oblivion is also reoperational :) At last :)

Great news! Can't wait to ride in 3 weeks time and of course 'Get Corrected'

Re: Ride photo pickup charge.

At Thorpe a few months ago a friend made a note of the codes of the photos he wanted then bought them all from the desk in the dome at the end of the day. They could access all photos from all rides and print what you wanted. Unfortunately I think Alton Towers isn't as sophisticated, so they have t...

Re: The Return Of Toyland Tours?

Charlie was fun when it first opened, not out of sync most of the time. Although, the deal with the Dahl estate probably ends soon so they might not be keen on investing any further in it. It could make way for a 'new' attraction (re-theme) for the 2014 season? Toyland Tours was a AT classic, so it ...

Re: Are Alton Towers running out of world first's?

Air (2002): World's first flying coaster. (Air actually stands for Aerial Inversion Ride.) Riders would climb into the car in much the same fashion as climbing a ladder, then the car would be raised up to the track before being dispatched. I'd love AT to incorporate that somewhere, the different wa...

I've asked on twitter and they are included on gold and platinum. I think the adrenaline one should include it while Oblivion is out of action! Thanks for asking! Also, I agree with you on the Oblivion situation - especially if they're still selling the pass full price! Edit: 'Oblivion has been swa...

Re: Disneyworld tips

Hollywood Studios is best done in the morning, by the afternoon most of the Fast Pass tickets have gone (for the main rides) and the queues are long. MK is a good park at any time of the day, Space Mountain Fast Pass goes quite quick. Keep an eye out for people passing on unused Fast Passes to peopl...
