Re: Should Thorpe Park Add Single Rider Queues?

Yes! I would love them, often you see empty seats going around. If I am just visiting to go on as many rides as I can I don't want to queue for hours when say like Alton Towers I could be on a ride in a few minutes with the single rider queue...

Re: SouthParks Southern Screamer - Reviews & Feedback

Just popping by to say thanks very much to everyone from the TT/SP Team and to Merlin / Thorpe Park staff for the amazing day. The behind the scenes tour was incredible and it's just something you will never get to do unless you attend an event like this. It was great to see the workings of SAW, the...

Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG8u36aaW84

It looks like great fun, the person in front was having a laugh I bet, haha..

Re: TowersTimes Summer Sizzler reviews & feedback

It was a great time, I really enjoyed it! It was great to meet everyone and put names to faces. Berry Bish Bash was incredible fun and a great workout, hahaha. (sorry kids, big kid fun time!) The takeovers were all awesome, and what it's all about. Thanks to all of the organisers who made it happen!...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

"For every bolt of the new Smiler ride that falls, a member of your family - will die." ;) This time they will use thread lock and lock wire instead of chains to hold it up, :D Maybe they use threadlock but for motorcycle racing everything has to be safety wired as well - strange that the...

Re: I'm getting worried about Air

I went on it not too long ago and it was great, better than I ever remembered it. It's sooo smooth, which is what I love - there is that feeling of flying like nothing else. Now Colossus at Thorpe Park has not aged well, that needs sorting out as it's a little rough. Let's not talk about SAW at TP a...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Please be ready for the sizzler event!!!

I am already very disappointed that I missed it the first time round... Another 300+ miles to miss it again, no thanks :(.

Just cable tie it together and let me on... Heavy duty ties of course!

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I thought the trim brakes were useful in getting the hang time feeling of going slow at the top and then full speed back down - extending the sequence. Like Stealth at Thorpe Park, it's better the slower you go over to the top. I dunno, maybe I'm just alone on this thought! I think Thorpe Park this ...

Re: Why Don't People Like Rita?

Of course everyone has their own favourites, and Rita seems very popular at the park, but for me personally it is a bit boring and over far too quickly. It has no real qualities to it other than the launch, just in my opinion.. I like Stealth more at TP for the height and views. There are plenty of ...

Re: What is Your Favourite Advert?

Haha, I voted Thirteen as I thought that was the best done advert, and one I remember, it seems I wasn't alone!

It may not be the best ride at all...

The Air advert is good but it blows it so far out of realism, personally I don't like that...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I was told by a member of staff today that Oblivion will be running tomorrow.. The Smiler has a lift crane which seemed to be stationary all day near the track... I couldn't tell what it was doing.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Sod the cosmetics, just get the ride going ASAP and open it up! :(  Such disappointing news after so many delays... I have a hotel booked, and not through AT with their unrealistic prices. Not able to get a refund with such short notice. Over a 300 mile round trip, and I won't be able to visit ...

Re: Your Very First Rollercoaster!

My first was Colossus at Thorpe Park quite a few years ago, and still my favourite, well one of them!

I was really scared of going on it, but once I did I have been hooked to them ever since! They look scary but nothing to them really ;).
