Re: SeaWorld Orlando

This looks like another interesting addition for SeaWorld Orlando. My only slight concern would be with capacity given the design, but I'm not overly familiar with this coaster type so I could be wrong there. The park released a teaser video showing the new ride which Midway Mayhem has uploaded to Y...

Re: SeaWorld San Antonio

Earlier this week, SeaWorld San Antonio announced that they are building a brand new wooden coaster, set to open in Spring 2020. Texas Stingray will feature a 100ft drop, 3, 379ft of track and travel at 55mph, making it the tallest, longest, and fastest wooden coaster in Texas. It looks like the rid...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

Here is the official announcement video for Iron Gwazi from Busch Gardens Tampa: oXKlFmAtP1s In some ways I do kind of like that the name still incorporates the word "Gwazi" as a nod to its predecessor. However what I don't get is the use of the Crocodile theme as Gwazi is meant to be a le...

Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

Welcome to the forum Maverick2007 :) If you're in the London area then the easiest parks to do would be Thorpe Park or Chessington World of Adventures. If it's thrills and coasters you want then Thorpe Park will be your best option. Make sure you check the opening hours though as like Alton Towers, ...

Re: Six Flags Great Adventure

With the Six Flags 2020 additions due to be revealed tomorrow, it would seem that Six Flags Great Adventure's new ride has been leaked ahead of time. Unfortunately the original video has since been taken down, however for the brief period it was live it revealed that the New Jersey theme park will b...

Re: Six Flags Qiddiya

I'm honestly not sure what to make of this. Whilst some of the rides look impressive in theory, I very much doubt if some of them are even physically possible to be built. I know I'm not the only one to have notied that parts of Falcon's Flight just are not possible as they appear to go against the ...

Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land Replacement

I have to agree with Justin in saying that I really can't see Lego being the theme of whatever is going into CCL. It simply wouldn't make any business sense for Merlin to put Lego into Alton Towers as if families can experience Lego at Alton Towers then they will be less likely to visit Legoland Win...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Food and Beverage

It would seem that the Resort have made improvements to their F&B quality recently if last weekend was anything to go by. I ate in The Secret Garden one evening and can honestly say it was probably the best meal I've ever had in there. I had the crispy beef and it was cooked perfectly, and taste...

Re: THE LEGO MOVIE World - 2021

This looks to be a good addition for Legoland provided it gets the go ahead. It'll provide a much needed refresh for an area that is looking very tired and needs some love. The LEGO Movie is huge, and will be for some time so it's a good choice to use for the area. The Flying Theatre will be another...

Re: Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle have updated their website with the first details of this year's The Haunted Castle event. It would seem that Outbreak 1349, House of Wax, and Seance will not be returning this year which means the scare mazes look to be getting a bit of a shake up. As things stand, it appears there w...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

I do wonder if Merlin are trialing a few possible options with passes. Thorpe have been offering a season fastrack pass for £400 this year, and now Legoland are offering this £650 VIP membership. It makes me think that maybe Merlin are trying to see if there is an audience for either individual park...

Re: Legoland Windsor Resort - General Discussion

I can't say I'm surprised to see this announced, but at the same time I'm also a little surprised that it is such a high price point. Yes, there is a fair amount included, but given that the recently withdrawn VIP Merlin Annual Pass cost £725 for an individual pass (£625 for a family), and included ...

Re: Hershey Park

Hersheypark have today confirmed that further details of their 2020 coaster will be released on 24th July this year. What I love is that Hersheypark have done this teaser in possibly one of the best ways possible - by sending media outlets a chocolate rollercoaster in a box! https://pbs.twimg.com/me...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Inside Universal have reported on Twitter that the ride has now reached capacity for the day, meaning that no more people can enter the queue. I don't think I've ever heard of a ride reaching capacity on its opening day. It very much seems like Universal have had the perfect storm of their first ful...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Having had the opportunity to try Jungle Escape yesterday I have to say it was a lot of fun. The games are well designed and did very much remind me of some of the games you'd see in The Crystal Maze. The group I experienced the attraction with didn't manage to solve the first room, but did manage t...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

At the moment I'm not sure what to make of this decision from Merlin. In some ways I was half expecting either this or a significant price increase for this year, but it is sad to see they've gone with the option of removing it altogether. I do think the pass has been a somewhat troubled product fro...

Re: Food & Beverages

If it is the case that Fin's is no longer going to be open for lunch then that is really disappointing. It was always my go to place to eat on the Resort as it generally offered a nice range of food options from lighter bites, to a more substantial meal. However, I do like the look of the new menu a...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

Was it listed under this before? I have a feeling it did, but in no way should it be classified as a theme park! When Merlin bought the Tussaud's Group back in 2007 (or may have been 2008), Warwick Castle was initially placed within the Midway category of attractions. I was working at the Castle at...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

I really love the Power of the Towers pin badge , I've always thought the staff badges are much better and this definitely looks like one. I think I used to want to collect every badge, but now Merlin are producing more, I'm treating it more like Disney pins so I will only buy the ones I really lik...
