Re: Planned But Never Built

This was an awesome read! I really hope that some of the concepts that were scrapped make an appearance as future SW coasters, especially the Vertical Launch one! Only issue is where it would go I guess.. Leaves a lot of speculation to some of the elements the lost SWs may have had. Duelling Deadsta...

Re: SW8

Has the speculation begun yet for the world/uk's first element? Anyway, regarding that, I'm definitely thinking that it'll be the worlds first double launch wooden coaster. The lift hill suddenly flattening and the change in lift mechanism gives hints of a boost up the hill itself, and the way it en...

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

Just a thought, but despite the whole "Mind the Gap" thing seemingly pointing towards some sort of Underground theme, i don't think that's what it means. "Mind the Gap" is a caution about crossing a line (the gap), and the Minds Wanted website had some text about reality being di...

Re: SW8

I remember that i went there a while back, and overheard a few people who seemed to look staff talk about a hybrid coaster. I was heading down to the woodland walk (going back to the hotel) when that happened. Maybe this is more stuff to sw8? Or another merlin park?

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

I just thought about the whole thing, and I've had an idea on what it could be. It could be based around the Hamble Twins. Remember how most of us wanted to see the Boiler House return to scarefest, or at least anything related to the Hamble Twins (I think it was in the 2013 scarefest forum)? I thin...

Re: 2014 Scarefest

I really hope that if scary tales is in fact 2/3pumpkins, zombies reaches 4 pumpkins. It could be pulled off, last year was quite intense (for my group at least, me and my friends got cut off from the others halfway through by a zombie and had to go through alone. We got followed and chased at the e...

Re: The Future of Nemesis Sub-Terra

The ABC drop towers are really uncomfortable, and I absolutely hate the restraints. They just hover 3-4 inches from your legs and really do nothing for you but push you back into your seats on the drop. I'd hope that once they have the money, they could close it down, take out the current drop tower...

Drop tower with full 360degree rotating seats (pivoting at any time, not like falcon's fury) "Double Coaster", where a junction track after the station or indoor portion moves to select one of two tracks with different, thrilling layouts (one track could have a launch and 9 inversions, the...

Re: Your World First Ideas

World's first drop tower with full 360-degree rotating seats
World's first floorless water coaster
"Double Coaster" in which a junction track moves to select one of two tracks (ideally launched or lift hill) each with a completely different, thrilling experience.

Re: The Future of RITA..

Would a backwards launch coaster even be safe? Think about the force which pushes you back into your seat on Rita's launch, then imagine that acting on your back with no head support! There are already coasters with backward launches. Most recently there was Full Throttle somewhere in US I think. Y...

Near misses would be pointless if you want the train facing backwards :lol

I know. I wasn't suggesting all of them to be used at the same time, but I see what you mean. :D

Re: The Future of RITA..

I know that these ideas are quite ridiculous, but here goes nothing: 1: reverse the train and go backwards all the way through. 2: on-ride audio sounding like a car speeding, with a few sounds of thunder here and there. 3: near misses in the shape of fallen trees around the banked curves and final f...

Do we need to buy park tickets too for this event? Or is it all included in the meet ticket?

Re: What Would You Be Most Surprised To See At Alton Towers?

Get N:ST out as it just wastes space. Terrible and painful addition to the park. A new Woodie would be amazing too.

Not mad mate, I'm imaginative. It would be impossible, I know.

Re: The Boiler House

Either this or the field of 1000 screams should come back. I never got a chance to experience these as one year (2011) I was just under the age to get a ticket, and the field was long gone before my first scarefest back in 2011. :(

Re: 2014 Scarefest

THEY NEED A MAZE FOR THE DARK FOREST. This would be an amazing addition to the park, now that Gerry's gone. Here's how I would think it would go: Maze name: OMINOUS: The Secrets of The Dark Forest. The queue is lit by dim lights and the creepy music fills the area, to set a very dark atmosphere. You...

Could I get a Smiler-themed one? Preferably a picture in the dark if there is one. (Don't forget my name, TowersManiac0110!) thanks

Re: Funny Things You've Overheard at Parks

Some kid was doing a tour of all the rides once. We were in the RITA queue and there was this kid behind us with a group of people and he was saying "Now this is RITA. Its name is Alton Towers Intamin Rocket abbreviated backwards." He must have only been about 12, but he got all of his fa...
