Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

The interview on This Morning was actually quite nice - no slander and no commenting on the other "faults" the park have experienced since. Joe seems like a top guy, I just hope the media will now leave him and the other 3 seriously injured alone.

Saw this article and about half way down the page it says surgeons managed to save her leg! I really hope it's true!

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Has it been confirmed yet about the poor girl loosing her leg? I'm a bit sick of reading reports jumping to conclusions before anything has been confirmed. Also I very much doubt The Smiler will be open for the remainder of the season however I do believe it will be back for 2016 - where i shall be ...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Wishing everyone a speedy recovery! This was a terrible tragedy but we should not blame anyone until all facts are out. None of us know exactly how this happened but I'm sure investigation will shed some light soon enough. All I know is that the level of care from the staff in legal terms has to be ...

Re: Future of the Monorail

I like the monorail. I dunno about you but walking to and from the park with a whole day of standing/walking is a bit too much leg work ;) But seriously, i like seeing the rides on the monorail, it puts me in the mood for adrenaline. Like all areas of the park it needs work (cleaning, revamping etc)...

Re: Alton Towers - Quick Questions

Hey

So i booked over the phone earlier this year but i chose the option to pay half then and half later on. Its now only 2 weeks until the payment is due and i was wondering if the payment comes off automatically or do i have to phone up again??

Thanks

35% discount online

Ok so not sure if this is the correct place to put this but i'm having some trouble booking my short trip with the 35% discount. I've tried twice now but both times once I put my payment details in and click confirm it said "payment failed". I know its not my card because it is valid and I...

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

What would you reckon the last week of June to be like? College/Universities would be over I'm guessing (they are in Scotland anyways) so would it be kinda busy?

About an hour for The Smiler - was at 9 am and was one of the first trains round. Bothered waiting for more than that throughout the day when everything else is deserted

Re: 2013 End Of Season Reviews

So this year was my 5th visit to the park and to be perfectly honest the best one yet! I have fallen in love yet again with it all and cannot wait to be back! I didn't plan on coming this season but once I saw the advert for The Smiler I just had to. It looked amazing and I told my fiancé we just ha...
