Re: Pleasurewood Hills

Having visited PWH a couple of weeks ago, I can confirm that Egg-spress is definitely worth paying a visit if you're round that way. The main track of the ride itself is still as it was, with no repaint, but the station has been completely redone and looks marvellous! Without giving away too many sp...

Re: Looking to make friends

In addition, while there's a good range of nerdiness levels on here (ranging from chilled theme park fans to raging geeks) what we all share is an appreciation of finding such, rare and like-minded humans, and even friends for life, so yeah I'd say pop along to a meet one day and see how it goes :D ...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

With regards to 'Darkest Depths', as awesome as it would be to have a scare attraction set within Sharkbait Reef, I can't help wondering how the combination of jumpy, terrified humans and glass tanks would go down. I agree with the article in reckoning it'll be situated in the Courtyard. Mind you, w...

Re: Heritage

Speaking of local abandoned stations, you can also pop a little further along to the old Oakamoor station. To get to it, you go down a little road called Mill Rd, off the B5417 in Oakamoor (google maps will help!!). Keep heading down slowly and things will eventually be self-explanatory. You'll get ...

Re: Heritage

What's everyone's favourite bit of the gardens?

It's a tough one for me but I particularly like the hidden chambers underneath the conservatories where they used to use fire to heat the pool thing above(at least that's what I've been told they were for) :D

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

Indeed, there have been pictures on the park's Facebook page of what looked like a crack on a pale surface (like an egg) and another one posted later on with a flurry of white feathers. Something bird-related it would seem! I also recall seeing the word "egg-citing"(or something similar) b...

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

Never before have I been so excited to see a little clone ride come back! Bring it on. As long as it's brought back in a similar level of glory as when it was in its heyday(tunnel, effects etc), then we'll all be happy. It may not be a totally brand new investment but at least its renovation will se...

Re: Pleasurewood Hills

Looking forward to seeing what this guy has to offer! He seems to have his heart in it, rather than it just being a business opportunity for him, so we'll have to keep an eye out for changes.

Re: Careers - Interviews and Job Advice

Agreed with above. There always seems to be a mix of levels of smartness(anything from a tracksuit to a full on suit) but I'd suggest erring slightly more on the smart side, but not being too uptight-looking. That way you can't go wrong :) Not only does it improve your employers' view of you, but al...

Re: Careers - Interviews for towers

Hi you awesome people.  Hi you awesome people.  Was hoping to get some advice on the interview process. I've done a lot of research to prepare for the 4/5 hour interview. That said i think I'm way overthinking this. I've read loads of employee reviews, some of which are from 2018. But they are real...

Re: Staff and Recruitment General Discussion

Hi, I'm going for an interview for ride host on Monday. Is there any staff members here that can PM me about the recruitment process, and where to find accomodation if (Fingers crossed!) I get the job? Thank you! I too would love to know of any accommodation too. (crosses everything!) if i get the ...

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

While they do look both adorable and non-invasive on the outside, the interior is very basic. You'd like to hope they'll be very cheap, especially if you're in the pods that are furthest away from the toilets! That being said, if you were a guest with a toilet-related condition (whether an official ...

Re: Evermore

Looks absolutely amazing and surreal :O Without big rides to build and maintain, that's a massive chunk of budget which can go towards making a hyper-magical environment (if it's a theme park budget) :D

The number 42 is meant to be the meaning of life.
Just saying.

That's the one :lol

Re: SP Southern Screamer 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

Very enjoyable event. Nice to have a nice, chilled, sunny day on park and not too much action and energy involved (that's best saved for scarefest!).  The highlight for me was seeing so many new faces. Was great to meet you all and hopefully see you in the shoutbox more and at other events too :D Th...

Re: Ideas & Suggestions

Topic resurrection time again... ( I've mentioned this idea to a few people recently but might as well officially post it on here) A theme idea for future talks and tours could be landscaping. It could work with any of the parks, but would be particularly spectacular at Alton due to the gardens, law...
