Re: TowersTimes’ Summer Festival Vol.2 - Reviews & Feedback

I'm still very tired and probably not yet dry from Battle Galleons but it's all worth it as the event was amazing!! It was lovely to see everyone again as well as seeing loads of new faces. I couldn't ask for a better group of people. Some highlights for me were the Wicker Man ERT, Pizza Pasta takeo...

Re: Fright Nights

I'm enjoying the "sheet with eye holes" ghosts in that image. A maze with those would probably be better than most of last year's mazes :sus:

Re: SP Southern Screamer 2019 - Reviews & Feedback

Thank you for another amazing event! It was great to see everyone and speak to lots of people throughout the day and the exclusives were crazy (I nearly died after 18 rides on Nemesis Inferno but it was worth it). The highlight for me (aside from the amazing BTS) was the takeover of Bouncezilla whic...

Re: Tomb Blaster

I saw these issues on Sunday too and it's a shame :'( We went there for our first ride of the day and the "5" minute queue ended up being about half an hour. Then as you said, lots of effects are down and it feels very tired (although the trommel tunnel was working surprisingly). The newer...

Re: SP Southern Screamer 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

Thank you for a brilliant event, it was lovely seeing everyone again and meeting some new people :rechecks The BTS was very enjoyable as you can see how much effort has gone into the maze with all the little details. Like Justin, I managed 11 rides on The Swarm which is just mental and it was great ...

Re: SP Spring Spectacular 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

Slightly very late feedback but I had an amazing weekend!! It was great to see everyone again and also make new friends. The ERT was perfect and the Temple of Mayhem takeover was both terrifying and hilarious (my thighs have just about recovered) I really enjoyed the talk and BTS which were very int...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

It will probably (maybe) be enjoyable but obviously I'm sad because they've done it to X aka best coaster ever. X was a coaster with a club/rave vibe which appealed to teens and young adults without having to be horror-based. While I enjoy the park's horror themes like ghost train and saw, I think i...

Re: X:\ No Way Out

Noooo..... X was the one family coaster at Thorpe, And it's by far the tamest ride I've been on. Why are they retheming it, it literally just got a refurb in summer... Also when I rode X I loved it not because it had any force or anything, just because it was a cool rave with the New IMAScore sound...

Re: X:\ No Way Out

Of course being a massive X fan I'm very sad about this (rave coaster wooo), but hopefully it'll be good. I think having an indoor horror ride next to an indoor horror ride may be a bit much and I would've preferred a revamped X with better lights, theming and audio. RIP X, forever in our hearts ;_...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hi everyone. I really want to do Alton Towers scarefest this year but I'll be travelling without a car this time. So I know it will make sense to stay in a hotel over night, which is what I'm going to do, but I need directions on how to get To Alton Towers. I managed to reach Thorpe Park on my own ...

Re: SP Summer Sizzler 2017 - Reviews & Feedback

Thank you to the team and Thorpe for one of the best events yet, my dad and I really enjoyed it! For £18 I was really impressed with how much we got. The talk and BTS were really interesting and probably my favourite so far (and I would give my life for the stealth suit and x no way out car). The ER...

The big metal thing is going to be the building to house the secret freefall drop. It'll be the world's first wooden vertical freefall drop coaster called 12, prequel to 13 :sus:

Re: San Francisco Dungeon & Madame Tussauds

San Francisco Dungeon are planning to open a rat cafe in July (which excites me greatly) and rescue rats will be up for adoption.
I'm hoping something similar will happen in the UK at some point as it sounds fun, works with the dungeons theme and would give some rats new homes.

Re: [email protected] Event Feedback

This event was definitely one of the best so far. The ERTs were perfect, managed to get 8 rides on nemesis (while seeing John Wardley's jacket <3). I was very impressed by the Q&A setup, I was internally screaming with excitement at how beautiful it was and John was great. Was really nice to see...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

I think it has the right amount of scary. It is certainly more so than last year and it has a sense of tension which puts people on edge. It's much more immersive as well which makes it feel more real. This type of scary is good as if it was full of jump scares I don't think it would be as enjoyable...

Cookehs will most likely be provided but there'll be a limited number available (unless I invest in a giant sack and beard and throw them out like Father Christmas) :santa:
