Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

With annual holders and the free parking, how does this work? Do you scan your pass on your way out of the park at the barriers or do you have to get a ticket and then redeem it for you at Guest Services? I usually just stay at a B&B and walk across but coming down for the day tomorrow. That's ...

Re: Ride Closures/Removals in 2016

Unsure if this is the correct thread to talk about this but it does come under the same umbrella. With the un-confirmed closure of Ripsaw and apparently many other rides as well have been circulating to not open in the 2016 season (The Flume, Hex & Sub-Terra) And with the current state of the pa...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

There is a bus link from heathrow to Feltham train station, which is 2 short stops to staines. You can then chatch the thorpe park express ... Cheers :-) It's looking like it's gonna be a Gatwick job though :-/ Flights are a bit steep just for the day down to Heathrow as Ryanair/Flybe and Easyjet d...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

If you can fly into Heathrow it would probably be better as its the closest airport to the park. It will be about a 15/20 minute taxi journey from Heathrow to Thorpe Park as its just a quick zip down the M25 and then a couple of A roads and your there. I unfortunately don't know how much that would...

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

Just had a look at the website and the ride list at the bottom has been altered as well. No flume no blade no ripsaw no subterror no hex no enterprise no river rapids. Don't know if its just my computer? Had a wee look there and I had to go to "see more" on the "Rides" drop down...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Vicky is in the news again today, half of me is happy for her and half of me thinks its totally unrequired. Its like a running commentary of her life now. So she walked all through graduation with her prosthetic and now has a new love interest in her life. The happy couple has loads of snaps togeth...

I think it's a bit wrong putting job listings up for the 2016 season when 190 people may lose there job.

From what I read I think it's permanent staff that this affects. With seasonal staff they will still employ, but may not take on as many as what they usually do.

Re: 2015 Scarefest

Andrew Georgiades aka "Mr Scare Room" went to AT Scarefest recently, did two runs through of each and extreme ToTT and offers his views: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eg5dNMGWqeU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Not sure if its something else but at the end of the video is...

Re: 2015 Scarefest

Firstly a massive thanks to all the actors (an incredible job by all) including the mastermind Peter and to everyone who payed for this experience participating and being good sports. So I'll share my thoughts on this experience withou...

Re: 2015 Scarefest

Is there any crawling involved in Molly Crowe or Terror of the Towers? I did the Extreme Molly Crowe, and unsure if this happens with all the groups but we were forced to walk on our knees for a good few minutes so if you are booked or intending to book this one make sure you are wearing old jeans/...

Update on the Website, I tweeted Re: Extreme Mazes, that was last years information. It has since been updated on the website and now back to no Extreme Mazes this year. Fingers crossed they bring them back.

Re: 2014 Scarefest

I wonder how they will do it, with the twisted tale on fairy tales. Interesting concept. Would have much preferred it as a Scaremaze but still though seems okay...I don't think you should not go because of the Lineup, remember you still have the 9pm close and riding the Rides in the Dark. It's all a...

Re: 2014 Scarefest

I am looking forward to the Sanctuary as would like to see how they can implement a new twist to it. TOTT will just be the same most likely (not that I am complaining as it was a good maze) But the Scarezones are a bit "meh" for me, I liked the Zombies scarezone but they aren't exactly tha...
