You'd have a bit of a hard time as afaik there's no direct buses unless the x52 is still running. Depending on where you're working as well you may be required to be in as early as 8am each day. Your best bet is to drive or find someone willing to take you in halfway (Uttoxeter or Ashbourne perhaps).
You wouldn't go straight to a large coaster though. You'd be doing a season or so on a smaller rides or a couple of small ones first to get to grips with operating.
I'd like to see Battle Galleons have a lot of work done to it, after seeing how little of what's supposed to be there working this season I think it needs a serious overhaul to get some of the water jets working again. Hopefully this'll take place this off season. This. All of it. Attachment aside,...
Oooh so I've already commented on this before about 2 years ago but I was thinking about my first trip to AT this morning and it really was quite memorable. I can't remember all of it because I was only 7, but I remember who I went with and why we went, and I remember it was a cold and crisp Septemb...
I guess this topic is entirely subjective. You have to remember that every ride on park will be someone's favourite, whether it be Nemesis, The Smiler or Oblivion, or Frog Hopper, The Skyride or Battle Galleons.
Sonic Spinball. It really isn't that great and could be replaced with something much better. By doing so you'd isolate a large audience of kids who are too old for CBeebies and too small for the 1'4m rides. I also disagree with your sentiment on it being not very good, but seeing as I worked on it ...
Brailsford has a great paintball place, called Wild Park, about 35 mins drive away, worth the drive, and has some great scenarios, and quite fairly priced.
I always drive past Brailsford on my way to work, wondering what the place was. Might have to give it a try.
I'm applying to work at Towers next season. If anyone here has the experience to do so, could someone possibly have a read of my CV? I'll PM it to you if that's OK. EDIT: Although I'm sure you're all nice, it would be preferable if you were someone I know in person, so I'm not showing my details to...
I vaguely remember someone doing a work placement on The Flume right at the start of season, but I don't think he was there very long. So I would believe they do them, but in what capacity I have no idea. Bear in mind that I would imagine the usual restrictions regarding insurance would still be in ...
I want to apply for a job at Alton Towers for a season and maybe even longer if they like me :? but i'm not sure what to pick. My family said that i should try caricature artist because i really enjoy art and they say my drawings are rather good but i am not really sure if i should or not. The othe...
Jess was given this staff badge from a member of staff on our last visit on the last day of this season. It's a make a wish badge and it says "....and we made it fun" http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/royjess/SAM_9765_zpsdgt8bsmk.jpg This has been added to her lanyard with her other ...
If it wasn't for Thorpe doing it and the fact it was outdated, Angry Birds would've been a good IP for the ride. I love Sonic though. I wish there was some better theming, for example I'd love for the pinball interactives in the queue that never work to be transformed into some Sonic themed games fr...
