Re: Ride Closures/Removals in 2016

Me and my mates went on a bit of a wonder today and we found submission. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160409/e9599411e20d1e683103982762b2d22e.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160409/7177da63908c526a942b8344c13a56b9.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160409/6cf80e38751dc334afc98726fd6ea...

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

The flume will probably be sold for scrapped and the boats might appear in local pubs and parks much like the swan boats when they were removed.

Planned But Never Built

This topic is dedicated to the rides and attractions that were planned to be built but the plans ended up being scrapped, shelved or changed. For some of them there isnt much information out there so it would be great if anyone has anything to add. Unknown 1988 ride - [1988] in April 1988 Alton Towe...

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

When Ripsaw is fully removed it will most likely be sold back to HUSS were it could be refurbished.

There is also a 1001 Nights for sale on ITAL which is very similer to Altons although the OP cabin is on the other side.

Re: Lost relics

There isnt many outside of the park but there is a few inside the park itself. Theres the Alton Towers sign in one of the cabins of the Magic Carpet ride at M&D's http://www.ukrides.info/col/md/carpeti.jpg A classic is the old "Aqualand" sign viewable from the river rapids queue line. ...

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

Thanks Paws. I think you must be right about the Bouncing Bugs, because had Alton Towers got them still, they probably would've made an appearance in CBeebies Land, themed around the yellow creatures that make the logo. Gosh I didn't know the Double Inverters had become that unpopular. IMO great to...

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

I've always wondered, but what actually happened to submission? Who was it sold/moved to, or was it scrapped (or still in storage)? Thanks :P Bouncing Bugs was most likely sold on or put into storage but since there is so many types of these rides it would be hard to find out. As for Submission not...

Re: Port Aventura to open Ferrari Land in 2016

The project was delayed and opening has been pushed back to late 2016 or 2017 and main construction is due to start on may 7th. The area is currently getting prepared for construction by removing trees and flattening the land down. There isn't much to see other than a dirty, dry and flat part of lan...

I noticed that in the background of some construction photos of Mondial's first Turbine ride you can see the supports and arms along with some parts of the Super Nova that's for sale on their website just laying there. http://www.coasterfriends.de/forum/attachments/kirmes-news/117333d1342049798-2012...

Re: SW8

No one knows exactly what date it got put up but looking back on the TowersTimes news section it was first spotted on the 19th of August 2011. It had never been seen before and looked brand new (Link here) . I'm pretty sure it disappeared a few weeks before the end of the 2011 season which would hav...

Re: SW8

I Definitely think 2017 is more accurate. If there was a large investment for 2016 such as a new roller coaster there would most likely already have been planning applications by now if following the same times as the rest. Both Th13teen's and the Smilers plans started to came out in December 2 year...

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

Wow, I never realized how popular of a ride Weber Traum Boats were! I did see and ride BoneShaker, I don't really have full memories but they are one of my favorite flat rides due to how sheer crazy they look and move. There was either 11 or 12 of them built altogether, most of which from 1990-1992....

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

That is amazingly helpful thank you so much. I never even knew a Supernova appeared at Loudoun castle even though I live quite close to there. I had a look on Google Maps and you can still see it and appears to be the prototype that traveled the Netherlands owned by Seggers-Melissen that more or les...

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

I believe it could be at terra mitica, I'm sure others had said it might be the one there. Had a look around loads of websites and Google maps and couldn't see or find anything resembling it, do you have any links? Unless you were referring to Energizer/boneshaker as Terra Maitica also has a Mondia...

Re: SW8

im not to fond of the Katanga Canyon area because in my opinion it is too small Katanga Canyon is literally one of the biggest main area in the entire park. you could pretty much fit both X sector and the Dark Forest into it and still have room to run around. EDIT: I made this just to see if they c...

UPDATE Alpine Bobsleigh - I found the photo of the two track parts. They are hidden somewhere in the woods behind Dark Forest. They are in a very overgrown area surrounded by big bushes and since it was a few years ago its not knowen if they are still there or not. https://i.imgur.com/yDBdmIh.jpg i...
