I think it's been a great year for the Towers. 2016 marked Alton Towers' return after the Smiler incident in June 2015, and it's safe to say that Alton are back on the road to recovery. As has already been said, Towers Loving Care is fantastic program and it's amazing to see some areas of the park w...
Isnt Oblivion's biggest problem is that its a one trick pony, a big drop, into a dark tunnel, sure it has track after that but nothing to write home about, that said the top of the rides, gives a really good view of the park. Freshening up the theme can only do so much. Track can always be extended...
I don't think the videos should be changed though, I really like the ones they have at the moment (my favourite video/ script in the park) and I think changing them would change the atmosphere too much. I agree with the need for changes in the queueline (tidy up of damaged/scratched areas) and mayb...
I want to bring this topic back considering we're not too far from opening. I must admit, the park looks gorgeous and the castle is one of, if not my favourite, Disney castle. I do also like the variation they have in the park, it's not using the same formula and layout used at pretty much every oth...
Just like most rides at the park, I cannot imagine it not being there. Honestly, I think it'll be there to the end. Despite a lot of theme park fans strongly disliking it (I don't really see the issues tbf) it is still a popular ride among the general public and as long as that factor is there, I ca...
I don't think any are that bad, but if I had to choose one it would be Galloper's Carousel. EDIT: I mean, you can go on a carousel like anywhere else. I think if they replaced it with more of an iconic/decent one much like the one in Fantasy Land in the Magic Kingdom, it would be a bit more appeali...
I actually really enjoyed the scare zones from 2015. They may not have been rich in story, but they were fun to walk through and have a few frights. I do agree, they weren't great as a whole substantial attraction but they were quite fun, I wouldn't really consider removing them.
-Track repaint. That's the only thing I'd really disagree with currently, the track isn't in much of a bad state and was only repainted 3 years ago :) Just a couple of other things that I think should be changed: -Smiler game stickers removed, since the game probably won't be put back onto the stor...
The Smiler being removed? That won't happen for a while, especially as Merlin have just spent most of a year trying to get it back up and running again.
I didn't mean removal of The Smiler, more like the focus of the area turning away from The Smiler.
I don't know about you, but the X-Sector in my opinion seems to be the one of most run down areas in the park, if not the most. Whilst some could argue that it fits the theme, I think it just makes the area look really dilapidated. I've come up with a few ideas about areas to refurb and I'd really l...
Nemesis' is by far the best. The Smiler's pit has some drainage issues and is thus unbearable in the rain, or when rain has passed. However, it's still quite fun to watch the cars speed around so close to you. Th13teen's needs a bit of work done. Air/Galactica's is quite good now they've brought the...
I've just done Galactica and I must say that it honestly was better than I was expecting. The experience was not perfect however the few problems I have with it are massive nitpicks. These include sound glitches and video quality glitches. However, these glitches have never lasted the full ride for ...
I'm going to Scarefest for the second time, and last time, I only went on Scary Tales (and loved it). This year, I'm going to try and go on a few of the Scaremazes, so I'd really like to know what the least scary one is. I'm a massive wimp.
Whether you re-ride something depends on whether you're happy to queue the time there again for a ride you've already been on. It kinda just depends on the queue time and the amount you'd enjoyed the ride the previous turn.
Ooh OPINIONS. I like it :3 Ok, I like the concept of both of them. UG Land now seems (to me) like a "dream of lost nostalgia". And, to be honest from all of the pictures, videos, accounts, etc. it looks like it was a fun, happy, "vibrant" area. However, due to me only being a par...
