Re: #AltonTowersMagic

Henry the Artist is a cute little book, got it a few years back as a Christmas gift.

Re: SW9

It seems that in order to build anything large we'd need to see something be removed first, so I'm personally hoping that we see Rita scrapped for something else, possibly another launch coaster like Taron. However, as others have said, Rita is still popular amongst the public, so there's all the ch...

https://i.imgur.com/hXj4jKN.png Legoland Windsor Resort has announced that the theme park will be closed as of 5pm Friday 20th March. The decision follows recent measures announced by the UK Government as a result of the COVID-19 virus.  The Resort have confirmed that the theme park will remain clo...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

Thorpe's Website now has a page about Coronavirus which mentions there'll be additional hand sanitisers and cleaning regimes around the park, so part of me expects that we'll see Ghost Train's headsets more thoroughly cleaned between rides.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hey, does anyone know how long the hotel porters can keep hold of luggage after check out? I'm staying on site soon and would quite like to have a day on park without lugging everything around with me.

Re: Black Mirror Labyrinth

Certainly an interesting announcement. The first thing that springs to mind is the idea that we're getting a walkthrough/maze, when in the past, these attractions rarely seem like they interest the masses. Both Saw: Alive and I'm a Celeb only lasted a handful of seasons due to their popularity, with...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I- what? Surely this can't be right in this day and age. I'm thinking this might just be an error in the promo image, but if it is indeed true, then that isn't exactly going to incentivise guests to stay an extra day just so then can check Instagram in the queues. Really odd considering how the park...

Re: Attraction Analysis

Derren Brown's Ghost Train and the Importance of Audience As with any market, the themed entertainment industry is a competitive one that is always developing, and there is always someone hard at work trying to dazzle guests with something fresh and exciting. Throughout the past decade, there have ...

Re: Liseberg May 2020

Hotel Gasten is a beautifully themed walkthrough/maze, it's right by Loke and it's well worth checking out. There's also some lovely gardens that go around the Helix station and the first drop, so be sure to head around there if you get the chance. If you're booking online then you should be able to...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

The focus may be on a different festival in October, but Towers Street have teased  that for 2020, we can "experience the historic gardens in a whole new light". Whether this hints at a scare-zone or just a nice night-time lighting package, it's great to hear that we may be seeing the most...

I love it already! I'm so glad to see that there's another entertainments based event as Scarefest and Fireworks are absolutely fabulous. I'm really looking forward to chilling out with a pretzel and watching the drunken antics!

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Didn't Jungle Escape get relatively low footfall, along with a significant drop in price towards the end of its run? It's a surprise that it's returning if so, especially if it's retaining the upcharge (although it seems some sort of ticketing is necessary for this given it's low capacity).

Scream Fields Fear Park

Scream Fields Fear Park is a brand new "scream-park" set to open at Thornton Hall Country Park for the first time in October. Sporting four mazes and a solo experience, the event seems certainly interesting, especially as one of the designers from Scare Kingdom is on-board. Scare Tour hav...

Re: Alton Towers Hotel & Splash Landings

The rates are totally bonkers at the moment- not even a week ago in the sale, a room for a large party in ATH at the end of March came to £250, but last night suddenly sprang up to ~£450! Also, it's significantly more expensive to book a stay through the Merlin Holiday Club site, which makes no sens...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Regarding Attic's final sections- You would duck through the fire-place, where the children were presumably pulled into the fire by the Demon, and arrive in Hell itself! It could be suggested that you had experienced death itself, hence your arrival in the underworld, and being welcomed to "ete...
