Re: Events Calendar 2020

In response to recent guidance on social distancing published by the Government, and following discussions with Alton Towers Resort and THORPE PARK Official, we have taken the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the remaining events that were scheduled during the 2020 season. This has not been a...

Re: #AltonTowersMagic

It's the hottest day of the year so far today, with temperatures peaking around 30 degrees.

Who else wishes they could cool off on the Congo River Rapids? Not long to go now!

Re: #AltonTowersMagic

In 1981, guests visiting Alton Towers could take a terrifying tour through Doom & Sons, the Resort's own petrifying funeral parlour. Being a macabre mixture of interactive scares and ghoulish gags, the walkthrough experience played out like a fearful funhouse, creepily complementing neighbouring...

Re: #AltonTowersMagic

This week we’re taking a look back at Bravo! Performing only for the 2013 season, the Bravo Show entertained guests at Alton Towers with jazzy interpretations of cheesy tunes and modern classics. The show was led by a crazy conductor, who frequently engaged with the audience, creating one of the mos...

Re: The smells of Alton Towers

Towers have been using scents for decades, there's a whole lot of interesting (and sometimes horrible) smells they've used! Duel typically uses Musty for the Vestibule (I believe it's also used in Hex and Dungeon), and they used to use Garden Shed  for the "outdoor" scenes. Wicker Man tend...

Re: SW9

It seems that in order to build anything large we'd need to see something be removed first, so I'm personally hoping that we see Rita scrapped for something else, possibly another launch coaster like Taron. However, as others have said, Rita is still popular amongst the public, so there's all the ch...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

Thorpe's Website now has a page about Coronavirus which mentions there'll be additional hand sanitisers and cleaning regimes around the park, so part of me expects that we'll see Ghost Train's headsets more thoroughly cleaned between rides.
