Re: Scarefest

Hi everyone, I've never been to Scarefest before, but I have tickets from The Sun for 26/27th which I believe falls on Scarefest dates. I'm gradually working my way back through this topic to see all the reviews and photos. I am a terrible wimp, I've never done a live action maze as I don't think I ...

Re: Thorpe Park Quick Questions

Thanks for the comments so far, I think we will get the Fastrack. Does anyone know when you get the time slots, is it when you collect the tickets on the day and therefore based on when you arrive at the park?

Re: Thorpe Park Quick Questions

Hi all, How do fastracks bought in advance work please? I've only purchased in the park before and had the set times, but if you purchase in advance how do you know what times you have, does it tell you? We're going on Sunday but some people are travelling down in the morning so we aren't sure what ...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Thanks Dan.N, I didn't think there was but I didn't want to push the point with them in case I was wrong. Shows that the media is definitely giving the wrong impression :(

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Could someone tell me please, was there an accident on The Smiler before where people were hospitalised? People I'm with today have asked me about Tuesday, and when I tried to defend the park they said Watchdog said there were 2 other serious incidents where people were injured/hospitalised. I didn'...

Re: What Should Happen Now? (Smiler Incident 2015)

As much as I would like to see the ride open ASAP, I voted for it to remain closed until the end of the season. I think after everything that has happened they don't need pressure to reopen before next year. If they did reopen this season and had the slightest technical difficulty (even a bird trigg...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Wow that was a harsh interview on sky news! What did they say please? I've just had a text from my Mum who saw it saying they are dismantling the ride?! I'm assuming that they mean taking the train carriages for investigation? Also, to Emporium as I haven't had a chance to reply to you yet: !!!!!!!...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Hi everyone, I posted a couple of times last year, but I was at the park yesterday and just wanted to mention my experience of the day. I got to the park at 10am on the dot and went straight to The Smiler, I joined the single rider queue and as I was walking through they were already making announce...

Re: Best themed Coaster Thorpe VS Alton...

I voted for The Swarm. The first time I saw it I was just blown away, I'd never really experienced anything like it as it felt so immersive to me. I think I liked the feeling that it could be a real scene! Since then I've been back to AT and do think the Smiler is also amazing, but Swarm gets my vot...

Re: Alton Towers - Quick Questions

Thanks jon18uk for replying.

That's what I thought about the £20, that it's worth it if you want to eat a lot and have dessert :) I've heard the buffet has pizza and pasta too, so hoping that's the case!

Am checking the queue times daily, hoping we are lucky with queue times :D

Re: Ripsaw (and Blade) to be removed?

I hope they don't remove either, I like having the flat rides that still provide a thrill. Ripsaw was one of the first thrill rides I went on and I still love being spun upside down! :)

Re: Alton Towers - Quick Questions

Hi everyone! This is my first ever post, so hoping someone can advise! I'm off to Alton Towers 25th and 26th Sept next week and have two quick (hopefully) questions please! 1. What is the Flambo's buffet like at the Splash Landings hotel? Have heard mixed reviews, mostly negative from googling onlin...
