Re: Rides & Attractions

Few more newspaper articles today claiming to be looking at 'UK's Disneyland' and showing the rides. Anyone know if there has been any leaked, actual plans, submitted for any rides?

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

I know that dates shouldn't change and it is frustrating but I am confused why the ghost train wasn't originally set to go on the perfect day - Friday 13th? It could now turn out that it is the 13th. Surely that would of made sense in the first place as it goes with a 'scary' day...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

I am not entirely sure if this has been suggested but looking at what we know so far, live scenes and actors and possibly a track for the train, could this be similar to the old Earthquake ride in Florida at Universal? I believe that this is now closed and was around a 10 minute experience that had ...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

Thorpe Park are revealing the clues one at a time for people who were late to the party ahead of the 15th February close date. The first is here . Remove this if you want but seeing as they are revealing them anyway I thought I may as well post them. Clue #1 - Log onto the website between 7:30-8:30...

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

Could we be getting the final clue and a full reveal on Monday? http://i.imgur.com/Qg1iu0p.png Just seen this! Exciting stuff. We know Derren Tweeted "A week of PR" Hopefully it will be the last clue, I am not sure we will find out more about the ride just yet though, I would imagine this...

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

"A week of Thorpe Park PR begins. Meanwhile Pushed To The Edge airs tonight, C4 at 9. In case I haven't mentioned it enough."

On Derren Brown's twitter tonight. Maybe might start seeing some real clues.

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

Ah yes, that's the one. I haven't come across it in the mornings, just thought it looked odd especially with the congratulations message... I hope that the next 'clue' will be a bit more revealing!

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

I went onto the Minds Wanted page today and as greeted with a congratulations message and an updated page. Anyone else find this? When I logged in the background page was slightly different. Maybe a clue dropping today?

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

I have managed to miss clue three... can anyone help at all? Also just thinking with project Whitechapel being linked to the Underground, would it be plausible that the arrows to one of the clues (UU DD LL RR) could be directions to lead to another station/ part of London? Tower Hill is only 2 stops...

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

I have somehow managed to have missed out clue 3 - I have solved 1, 2 and 4 but missed 3... anyone help with this one?

Also love that TP have stepped up the marketing game with the Victorian dolls around London. I am hoping this is not all an illusion and does lead to something.

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

From my understanding, in order to complete clue 1, you simply just need to log in to the website between 7:30 and sometime like 8:45 (although I'm not sure on the ending time). I would suggest logging out sometime before 7:30 and then logging in after 7:30 and hopefully you should do it. :) In oth...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Yep no Spinball or Saw at Thorpe either, I hate Saw anyway, far too rough! I think that Saw isn't that rough at all. Love all of the elements of the ride. Would even argue that Sonic Spinball is 'rougher' that Saw. Either way I suppose it is down to opinion. I much prefer the rides with a bit of a ...

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Looks like the investigation is fully over. Hopefully see a statement soon. At least we might finally see what is happening (if anything) to The Smiler for the new park year.

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Not good for AT so soon after Smiler incident - i know eyewitnesses are probably exaggerating to get themselves on the news considering he high media status regarding AT at the moment. Just seen this, it's not great for the park. It's probably over exaggerated but still they could do without the pr...

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

So do we know that this will be a coaster in the dark or a simulator type ride? I would love it to be a Spiderman/ Transformer type ride that they have in at Universal, although with the apparent budget I doubt it would stretch that far.

Perhaps it could have a similar theme to Thirteen at AT?

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

I agree that the Slammer is one of it's kind and would be sad to see it go as it is such a fun ride. It takes up little space and I do not think that it could be replaced with a better ride. It's just a shame it is out of action for large amounts of time.

Anyone know how many cars were in operation that day? Was it just the one car with passenger released?

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

Apologies if this has been mentioned but how many cars were in operation that day? Did any cars get dispatched during the lead up to the incident or did they just send one with passengers? Would be interesting to know if they did/ didn't send any other cars?
