Re: Colossus

I'm confused why people find colossus rough... I'm short (around 5"2) and the whole ride seems smooth to me. Not sure if other short people find it rough but my brother(around 6"0) finds it smooth 2. Who actually finds it rough? Taller or shorter people? I am also 5"2 and my nephew i...

Re: Dismaland

I went on Sunday. Got to Weston for 8am and queued for over 5 hours! Luckily we were in the first 100 in the queue and got in when they let the first lot of people in. It was really worth the wait! I have only recently got into Art after years of thinking it was not for me so this is the first event...

Re: Festivals & Concerts

I've been to WOMAD but that's the only festival I've been to.

Been to quite a few concerts. My favourite was Muse and I would love to see them again. My least favourite being The Wurzels which I was dragged to by my parents.

Re: The Coca-Cola Eye

I went last Tuesday and we were in the queue 40 mins to a hour. Don't think the one queue next to the eye is the whole thing though there is a walkway and another queue behind that. When I went we were not standing still for long as the queue moved quickly but was just really long!

Re: The Coca-Cola Eye

Half way through the queue you can buy coke. Like the little pop shops in the queue lines for rides. Couldn't see them giving it away for free if they can make extra money out of it!

Re: Books

I love paranormal books. One of my all time favourites is The Women in Black. Typical haunted house book, love it. I love Susan Hill. I've read I think 3 or 4 of her books now. Woman in Black was probably my least favourite out of the ones I have read though. If you like Woman in Black I'd really r...

Re: The Coca-Cola Eye

I went on Tuesday so thought it might be worth sharing my views. I felt there was a rather a lot of pointless advertisement. We didn't do the 4D part but the queue line security strap (I guess that's what it is called :S) was covered in Coca Cola wording, then the inside like people have said above ...

It's where you track how much you have read each year. It gives you book recommendations and you can join book groups etc. I've just changed my privacy settings so hopefully you should be able to see mine :) https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/5961285-kleo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fal...

Re: Which SW coaster do you think will be removed first

I choose Oblivion because like stealthsmiler said there are coasters that are going past vertical. I can remember visiting when it first opened (I was too young at the time to go on it) and think how amazing it was. However having been on it about 10 times now it has really lost it's appeal and havi...

Re: Books

I love reading!! I'm currently on a bit of a book break as I'm moving home but normally I read anything Sc-Fi, horror or fantasy. I absolutely love Stephen King and am currently trying to read as many of his books as possible. tallicay2k- which book are you on? I read them all a few years back and r...

Re: Rides you want to see leave the park.

I'd like to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory leave. I've been on it twice. Once when it first opened and this year and I really didn't enjoy it both times. I'd like to see something like Toyland Tours make a come back (I know it wont happen :().

Re: Which Theme Do You Prefer?

I used to love UG Land. I think it might have been that area that actually made me fall in love with The Towers and Theme Parks as a child. There was just something about that area. I felt it got ruined with Rita coming in. I have no problem with the ride just that it didn't really fit with the them...

Re: Media on alton towers

No matter what it is (a theme park, a person etc) soon as a tabloid paper takes a disliking to them they are relentless in the negative reports they give. This is why I don't read them, they hardly ever report actual news. I was joking that with all this negative reports they were getting that the n...

Re: Colossus

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but am I right from reading back that it is the trains that make the ride so rough not the track? I went last Friday with my nephew and he is by no means a wimp but the ride left him with tears coming down his eyes and left me thinking I'd bruised my face (...

Re: Best themed Coaster Thorpe VS Alton...

I love the theme for The Swarm! From when you walk up it builds a really good atmosphere. I generally like those type of invasion disaster/ apocalyptic type ideas. I think it's a shame that many theme parks seem to not look after their ride themes properly in the sense of keeping the stuff around th...

Re: At what age can you not handle thrill rides anymore?

I found that The Swarm made me feel less sick when I got off than when I got on it! I find what I eat can have a big impact on how I feel after rides. Fast food and rides are not a good mix!!!
