Re: Stealth

It might be too late in the season for me to go now, will have to look into it. Plus I dont want any of that "Love Island" rubbish, I’m not going into the park on one of those days. The Resort have no Love Island branded events this year. I’m not gonna lie, I lost touch with their social ...

Re: Stealth

what is the state of play on Stealth, the last time I went (a couple of years ago) it was closed, and that didnt make me happy, is it now going to be open for the rest of the season? Stealth has just undergone a fairly extensive set of maintenance, and appears to be back in operation with good reli...

Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land Replacement

If it was to be Lego (and to be honest I think there might be more a clue to point towards that), I think some hotel rooms, would also get a rebranding as well.

Re: X-Sector refurbishment?

I think X-sell could easily reopen without the need for extra staffing. Just combine the till with the photo kiosk and the 2 people there could man both with no extra payroll costs. I think it should be prioritised rather than all out refitting the area. Hydrator needs to reopen and the whole area ...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I'm pretty sure the press don't dig up the article to hurt Alton Towers, it's some automatic thing to keep you reading the page, just load a previous story about The Smiler, even more so if it's one that has done well. Still I do wonder if there is any journalistic need to keep reposting the story, ...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

Also, saying Lego owns Alton just......doesnt sound right. it doesnt, but that is the nature of business these days. Also that I get. Its 100% understandable Lego want as much of the Lego Land theme parks profit as possible, and I understand how in that deal, they also end up owing a few other them...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

If Lego wanted a second loaction in the UK, would they not just open one? how is having a mini Lego Land inside Alton Towers better for them? sure its their profit now, but I am forced back to the earlier question, how does Lego benefit from owning non Lego branded tourist attractions?  Diversifica...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

Just looking at the long list of stuff Merlin owns, I wonder if some of the "brands" like Sea Life, the Eyes, The Dungones maybe spun off first. Keeping actual theme parks close to the Lego theme parks makes a bit more sense, but the likes of Warwick Castle and Hotham Alpaine Resort, I rea...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

Depends what they can bring to the table - I hope the non-Lego parks still retain their own identity, I mean, a Lego themed area to replace CCL would be great, but Alton Towers is still Alton Towers and future lands/Secret Weapons still need to have their own original theme  If Lego wanted a second...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

obviously this is a good move for Lego, and the Lego Parks, but there is alt more to Merlin than the Lego Parks, ALOT more. I struggle to believe Lego is really looking to get into the global tourist attraction business, anymore than what is Lego branded. What does Lego want with any of the Dungeons...
