Re: Project 2020

Yes, I just noticed that, had a look at their Twitch account and the background image of their offline page is identical to the HYPD image, just rotated and cropped.

Re: Project 2020

Huh, I guess this coincides with when I was there and a couple staff members were taking pictures of buildings, foliage and interiors between Loggers and IAC, whilst referencing visual changes to the area. Only question is if the Burger King in that area is staying or going

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Since there's talk about the rapids going on here, when I went to Fright Nights I saw an engine hoist placed on one of the spinning bumpers (I don't know what it's called) at the end of the wave section as if to remove it. I take it it's normal for them to do a complete strip down of the Rapids each...

Re: Fright Nights

Ah, so before it was all hooded? I can see why that would have been worse.

It's still a shame that most of the mazes didn't feel finished, as some of them, especially Do or Die, would have been far better if they had more effort put into story, acting, and maze design

Re: Fright Nights

So, I visited Fright Nights for the first time on Thursday and Friday, so I'll give my review of the event as someone that's only been to Scarefest, and had been reading the reviews here of mazes to see what should be good and what isn't, which led to some disappointments and surprises. First of all...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Yeah, SSE just posted about the outages. 3 hours until everything gets back to normal. It's definitely lucky the mazes have a different power supply

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Seems to be a power outage today on half the park, stealth, tidal wave, swarm, nemesis, detonator and the teacups all went down at the same time

Re: The Swarm

Today Swarm's queue message went from "Closed" to "Come Back Later". Looks like they're going to try and open it today

Edit: it has now opened

Re: The Swarm

I've only seen it test once today, so it could be either broken again, or the park's too understaffed to run it

Re: The Swarm

Just went on TWD, member of staff told me they were fitting a new chain today and that it should be testing tomorrow, possibly opening in the afternoon, also said that the issue wasn't terminal and it wouldn't be shut for the rest of the season. I'm in the park again tomorrow so I'll see if it is te...

Re: Fright Nights

The mystery pop badge appears to have been Blair Witch, so it seems to confirm that it's returning this year. This is going off of what I've found online though, so it could be misinformation being spread

Re: Project 2020 / CHIP 7706

So it's definitely something that was planned to go in this space and hasn't been there all the time. Doesn't give any more certainty on the meaning of it though, could be a staff code, although it would be weird to place it within the themed area and not just on the counter or the side wall if it ...

Re: Project 2020

Currently on park and there are 2 employees with a sheet of paper taking pictures in and around the old town area, overheard "If it was around my taste..." which suggests a retheme could be coming here either next year or 2020 to coincide with Project 2020.

Re: Project 2020

On park today I saw half of the CHIP image on the right side of The Swarm's control booth, so they're definitely hinting towards the new coaster. I also wonder if they're hinting at the location being where Logger’s Leap is, at a stretch; CHIP could be referencing a wood chip, which could then be li...

Re: Reserve N Ride

the first time I think it was used was at the middle-end of the 2014 season, I remember using mobile network on the way to the park in early October 2014 to book a slot at the start of the day for The Swarm, went straight to it and skipped a 45 minute queue. We also used 2 phones to plan rides after...

Re: Thorpe Park - The Future

When I messaged them on Facebook they said that it was closed for "reconstruction". Could we see the return of the tunnel on the first drop? :-k Possibly, but it might have more to do with the area's re-theme to Old Town, so we could notice different logs on the ride and different theming...

Re: Thorpe Park - The Future

Regarding Loggers Leap, it seems pretty much guaranteed that it will be returning next season as on Thorpe Park's twitter page, which I checked after getting the 12p tickets that went up early, they had responded to someone asking about Loggers to which TP responded with, in short, "Loggers Lea...
