Re: Chessington - The Future

I feel Merlin is investing quite a lot into Chessington as of the last few years, and next year. Wouldn't surprise me if we see a new coaster down the line. The park really lacks a small-scale kiddie coaster, and a newer family-thrill coaster. Really hope those plans of the park adding an Intamin fa...

Re: SW9

I'd really like to see them build an Intamin Blitz on the Galactica car park. Believe it or not, but you can actually fit the whole of Klugheim and Taiga on that car park. So they definitely could fit one there. Something similar to Taron (focusing on airtime and rapid transitions), combined with a ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

Does anyone know what's going on with Blade at the moment, and if it will be returning for the 2020 season?

Re: Flamingo Land

So there's this big rumour currently going about Flamingoland purchasing an Intamin 10 inversion Rev. B coaster, on social media and other sites.

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion & Wishes

Not sure where else to post this but the planning application for the Drop Towers, which will apparently be called "Hip Hop" have been filed:- https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dw42Y5PWkAETJ9m.jpg Source:- http://publicaccess.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=1...

Re: SW9

I think a low height Soaring With Dragon style ride would work, especially if the launch section were to be dug way below the tree line.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

According to GCI's website, Wicker Man actually has a track length of 2,609ft:- https://www.greatcoasters.com/?p=wickerman In disbelief, I used the path tool on Google Earth to see how long the rides layout is, and I got around 2,400ft (excluding elevation). So if you include elevation, this statist...

6. Galactica
7. Spinball Whizzer
8. Oblivion
9. Runaway Mine Train
10. Octonauts

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

Don't know where I should best put this, but scaffolding has appeared on Nemesis Sub-Terra:- https://www.facebook.com/ThemeParkOracle/photos/a.128725777756435.1073741828.128669814428698/215425672419778/?type=3 Photo by Theme Park OracleTv . Re: SW9

I'd love to see a launched Wing Rider replace Rita. I think the combination of winged seats, a launch, and a ride better than Thunderbird is what Alton needs as their next coaster.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I'd happily let them remove one of the trains permanently, if it means resolving the technical issues. I think three trains is unnecessary on a layout of that size anyway.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

If this is the case, I think it's a first for GCI. Maybe this also ties into the fact the layout was only designed to utilise 2 trains, but the park opted for 3.

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I absolutely loved this ride, and in my opinion it is the best ride in the park, and my number 3 coaster, after Shambhala and The Swarm. It is the first ground-up GCI I have ever ridden, and I think part of the reason I loved it so much is because I set my expectations quite low, and it greatly exce...

I don't get the 952pph capacity fact, because the ride has 3 trains... doesn't it?

Re: SW9

There are quite a lot of options for what SW9 could be. Apparently, even Alton haven't got a clue at this time. I look forward to seeing what it is, that's for sure.

It's also worth noting that IMAscore announced that they have made Wickerman's soundtrack in this tweet. What's everyone's thoughts?

It's hardly a surprise tbh.
