Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Thirteen fairs best on quiet days, which isn't a good thing at all but bear with me here. The queue on a dark quiet day is quite atmospheric when the music on and you walk through the queue. I think the whole experience needs some overgrowth maybe going around the queue with some ruins thrown in. I ...

Yeah that annoyed me as for local advertising here they could've just said Irelands first steel coaster.

It is a shame that the Towers Loving Care updates on social media have not continued. It would be nice to see what is going on!

Yeah it helped build alot of hype and kept them relevant in the off season but this winter I haven't paid any thought to whats going on.

Re: Forbidden Valley Future

I've been pretty disappointed this closed season with lack of TLC updates.

I was worried after Wicker Man and the boost in attendance this would happen. It's still good they're cleaning track and maybe performing maintenance on The Blade.

Rita is an weak coaster though in its present form though compared to other intamins. Personally out of every coaster (other than spinball) it could be open for replacement.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Music and Videos

Speaking of IMAscore, I was wondering if there’s any themes on Spotify for any ride? They have a Spotify page but nothing from the Towers.

Saw this post this morning and I reckon your write up will be alot like the experience. I'm very excited that they're using the NST site for this atleast to bring back the story.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I think the park will stay mostly balanced. The decrease in hours, TLC and increase of family rides is playing it safe for them considering what happened both to their reputation and financial situation. This is Wicker Man’s first year and we'll see changes in the park as confidence in it improves. ...

I've posted this somewhere else on here before, but apart from phones on Oblivion, I've had to be walked out of Duel by staff.

I've found if you're not as tall it can be worse (my head tends to be above most restraints) as my girlfriend whos probably 5ft7 got fairly rattled on Blue Trnado in Gardaland.

Re: Rita - General Discussion

I've never had a rough ride on Rita but I agree that its through put seems very low as queuing seems to take ages everytime. I've never heard the height issue come up I'm 189cm (touch below 6'3) and I've never had any issues.

Re: Project 42 (Nemesis Sub-Terra) - New for Scarefest 2018

I can't imagine that'll be the case - there might still be the elevator element, but I doubt the drop portion will be making a return, Sorry should've clarified; I meant the lifts and effects/egg. I always thought the drop tower was removed or cannibalized for parts for The Dungeons. If the drop to...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Been away for a while and this is exciting to come back to. Can't wait to hear about Project 42 and I wonder if it will use the Sub Terra ride system.

Also, for the Galactica area scare zone, I think it'll be something like Event Horizon (not that intense) or something coming through the portal.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

As much as I hate the idea of it it will most likely be an up charge attraction. I mean look at how Sub Terra turned out and it used far less actors(probably).

Re: The Future of Nemesis Sub-Terra

Its probably just a routine check on the ride system and building for a report on all standing rides in the park. Ehixh I know isn't exciting but thats my guess.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

It'll be actual history with The Dungeons as they are supposed to be educational, they won't go with any of the rides as the stories are all made up.  Also, The Dungeons have a distinct enough brand that it wouldn't fit in with DF, I'd reckon they'll say it's in the same area as Hex (Like what they...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

I first thought it would be a scarefest attraction at first when I saw the announcement but this is better. Maybe the merger or dark forest and CCL will actually happen to accommodate this? Also as discussed here it'll be interesting to see if its based on real tales from the area or complete fictio...
