Fantastic photo's as always Hursty, a great reminder of a very fun day. So many photo's that perfectly captured the moment, the exit of the maze photo's are especially funny
Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
It seems Canada's Wonderland might be taking the record from Cedar Point for the biggest dive coaster, premiering Yukon Striker (accidentally leaked by Canada's CBC broadcasting company). Its still not officially announced, so I'm classing this is a rumour for now. Interesting to see a vertical loop...
This was our 3rd event and by far my favourite, (seem to say this after every event but they keep getting better and better). All the ERT's and ride take overs were great, with the suprise Wicker Man ERT at the end of the day being a perfect finish to the event. The Courtyard party was the most fun ...
The first official POV is up and it looks stunning. Amazing pacing, the little pops of airtime between the elements should also be great, as Intamin are legends when it comes to airtime on their hypercoasters. j6T-HY1GnNM The lift hill does seem a little on the slow side though Hopefully that will ...
Hyperion is now testing :) Interesting to see they are using a chain lift instead of a cable lift. I thought at first it might have something to do with the cars being 4 seats wide, but then remembered Skyrish uses a cable lift and has similar cars. I'm seriously thinking about booking flights to ...
After a break of 28 years, I decided to visit Chessington again last Friday as I was in the area for the Summer Screamer event on the Saturday. I'm not too sure why I left it so long to return back to the park, but needless to say it has changed a fair bit since my last visit for Vampires opening s...
I once had a rollback on the Mine Train (coming out of the tunnel, going up the hill past the rapids). It took a good 10 minutes (and multiple attempts of rocking us back and forth), to build up enough speed to finally get us over the top.
I guess its a way of getting people talking about it. People in the know will discuss how wrong that is, others will discuss how they must go as its a world first. Win win situation really.
Schwarzkopf looping coasters have operated with lap bars for decades, many still operate with only a lapbar. On the odd occasion one of his coasters stalled on the loop, its been well proven a lapbar is more than adequate to hold someone in place. Personally, I have no concerns about Icon's restrain...
I have no idea. But the stats for the RMC put it just short of Steel Vengeance for height and speed. There will only be 8ft height and 3mph speed difference between the two of them.
When they both open, it will put the parks coaster count up to 14 coasters in 6 years. That's nuts !
Hyperion has now been topped off. I really want to try and get to this park this year. https://i.imgur.com/15jgMko.jpg Speed, the new Intamin water coaster is also testing. https://i.imgur.com/AwGCLG9.png A nice picture of the first drop from the front of the boat. https://i.imgur.com/DGA10W9.jpg I'...
