Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Im not sure about the opening date at all, nothing has been submitted yet. The park also said that they were seeking National Infrastructure Significance with the project, which hasn't been updated in a while and consultations haven't really happened. They do seem to be gaining momentum but announci...

Re: Stealth

Stealth is also closed today so I assume that it didn’t open at all yesterday! Isnt it normally around this time of the year that Stealth is closed for a week or two whilst they replace the launch cable? It didn’t open yesterday. It spent most of the day DELAYED then about a hour or so before close...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

I would take everything currently on the site with a pinch of salt. Might be old plans or random stock images of theme park plans. Alot of the details on the site are old and need a refresh. They also quote on the planning page:  We will make an application in 2017. Following the fourth stage of pub...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

The fact that the website has had a facelift is possibly the most that has happened in the last few years!

I am a local resident - literally ontop of the area they are planning to build in, so wonder if I will start to see some consultations or something like that through my letterbox sometime soon.

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Thats interesting, the email at the bottom of the site is for londonresortcompanyholdings.co.uk - I dont think that was there before. A whois search also shows that the website has never been registered before. Looking up a old copy of the website (captured in August) via the internet archive, the n...

Re: Chessington - General Discussion

Chessington has released a teaser for the replacement to Hocus Pocus Hall, containing a list of interested parties including several former characters at the park. https://i.imgur.com/cCO08ln.jpg I can see Zappomatic, Rodger the Dodger and of course Professor Burp. Any more I've missed? Also odd th...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

I believe that it might be alot easier to build these projects in the US than in the UK, especially back when Disneyland was created - we unfortunately have a-lot of health and safety and paperwork these days.

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Appears that there has been another filing for London Resort at Companies House. It appears they have appointed another director.  View PDF Appointment of Mr Ayman Chit as a director on 28 August 2018 - link opens in a new window - 2 pages Im quite surprised that they are bothering with the structur...

Re: Project 2020

I would be surprised if it was Blair Witch. That means that Thorpe has paid for the IP again, despite the year of the walking dead and the AMC IP they have already paid for. This makes no sense at all. I do think that this year all of the mazes could be Walking Dead themed - which might explain the ...

Re: Project 2020

If this is true its a bit of a strange move, to pay for the old P again (which wasnt well received) , especially given that its not like there is anything else todo with Blair Witch anymore (i.e. movies and stuff).  Kinda give up on Thorpe these days. The whole year of the walking dead that fizzled ...

Re: Project 2020

Currently on park and there are 2 employees with a sheet of paper taking pictures in and around the old town area, overheard "If it was around my taste..." which suggests a retheme could be coming here either next year or 2020 to coincide with Project 2020. Can't really see that being rel...

I have never known thorpes media team to be that consistent at the best of times. So anything on there I wouldn’t pay too much notice to about upcoming stuff.

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

You have to bear in mind a few things when looking at this park. People say its a scheme, I dont buy that. They have gone to the government to get significant project status with the planning directorate.  Can anyone remember the last time a park was made from scratch? All of the UK ones have been g...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Seems the name server has changed to ns1.domainhasexpired.com which also has broken the mail records.

Was re-registered with domainmonster on 23/05/2018. So might me misconfiguration. Still under Newgate communications ltd as the registered owner which it was before I believe

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

I've officially given up on this project. Like the local people, I actually just don't care about the project anymore. It's a shame. London Resort could have been something pretty special for the UK theme park industry.  I am a local person. I was keen on it merely in the hope that it would stimula...
