Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I remember seeing speculation about the App being updated and removing mazes but it didn't come back so everyone jumped to it being removed. can't remember where.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Wasn't it mainly because it disappeared from the app?? Even though the season hasn't started so wouldn't expect the app to be anywhere reliable until the park reopens

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

What I've always wanted, my house to smell like.. "distinctive stench of blood, rusty metal and raw flesh!"

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Aren’t most of the smells like decay and flesh, like in The Walking Dead? I can’t see this being a nice candle or deodoriser to have at home!

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

At this stage, I feel that anything will be good for the park. It has been under invested for a while now and could do with something new. I get that Derren Brown wasn't all it was hyped up to be, but at least the park tried something. We would be sitting here complaining saying that they dont try a...

Re: Chessington - The Past

I vaguely remember Terror Tomb, I was very young when I went on it. Remember it being one of my first dark rides and I loved it. I do miss the original ideas for rides that they used to have back in the day.

Re: Alton Towers Hotel & Splash Landings

According to the T&Cs, the Alton Towers Holidays is run by Holiday Extras Limited (https://www.altontowersholidays.com/terms-and-conditions.html) - Think they run all of the Merlin Holiday Sites (I know they do Thorpe Shark) - so probably using demand based on people booking/searching rather tha...

Re: Alton Towers Hotel & Splash Landings

I assume they work like Airlines and most hotels, where it is a demand based pricing? i.e. if everyone is searching for specific dates the price goes up?

Re: Fright Nights

Fair enough - can't help but just not trust anything that comes from Thorpe. Their Website and comms are appalling. Seems odd if you know the mazes they wouldn't of put something on the fright nights page to at least talk about the 5.  Always skeptical about the website/booking/info from the team th...

Re: Fright Nights

Not sure if you remember but last year Thorpe changed their open dates, removed the tickets from sale during the quieter part of the summer. It seems to happens a lot, sure its on this forum where someone mentioned it - also often reduce hours quite bit to what is advertised on the ticketing site. A...

Re: Fright Nights

Wouldn't trust the information on the booking page, it still references 2019 at the top so probably wrong information from last years event. Thorpe are usually good at not removing information on their site or keeping it up to date

Gaffer tape? It’s black and the room is dark. Surely it won’t be seen?

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

Does anyone know why the Demon has disapeared? This is called "Rise of the Demon", not "Return of the Chav". Problem with the costume?

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Im not sure about the opening date at all, nothing has been submitted yet. The park also said that they were seeking National Infrastructure Significance with the project, which hasn't been updated in a while and consultations haven't really happened. They do seem to be gaining momentum but announci...

Re: Stealth

Stealth is also closed today so I assume that it didn’t open at all yesterday! Isnt it normally around this time of the year that Stealth is closed for a week or two whilst they replace the launch cable? It didn’t open yesterday. It spent most of the day DELAYED then about a hour or so before close...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

I would take everything currently on the site with a pinch of salt. Might be old plans or random stock images of theme park plans. Alot of the details on the site are old and need a refresh. They also quote on the planning page:  We will make an application in 2017. Following the fourth stage of pub...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

The fact that the website has had a facelift is possibly the most that has happened in the last few years!

I am a local resident - literally ontop of the area they are planning to build in, so wonder if I will start to see some consultations or something like that through my letterbox sometime soon.
