In my opinion Merlin just needs to operate the three rides in X Sector to the best of their ability before adding a flat. Oblivion needs the mist back and more audio. I know they cant have too much noise but surely a whisper of "Don't look down" is never gonna be heard outside of the park...
Any truth that the Single rider queue doesn't operate now idf the queue is less than an hour long? You’ll be pleased to know that’s a bogus rumor, pretty much everyone’s used it this weekend. Come to think about it, I don’t think I’ve used the main queue at all this season. Awesome, thanks Like all...
Hey Zac, from the footage and pictures seen then the ride has done exactly what it is designed to do. With the ride stopping on the vertical lift hill then safely being lowered to the ground then there was no danger of two trains being on the same track. The papers appear to have made a story up fr...
I think we have to take everything with a pinch of salt as I've heard so many rumours too. To be honest, I think we will never know for sure, but at least Alton Towers have took the time to rectify the issue that caused the closure by closing the ride instead of opening and closing it constantly. I...
I's suggest once on all the coasters, intesperesed with regular goes on Icon to recover!
Make sure you do the Ghost train as well, it's historic and fun. Valhalla is a must as well, you'll probably get soaked but you'll dry off quikcly if it's a nice day
Is anyone else finding Nemesis really unpleasant this year (especially on back rows)? I am finding the head banging worse than The Smiler and I don't know if anyone else gets this but I get a strange tingly feeling in my feet, like pins and needles (don't get that on Swarm or other forceful coaster...
To be honest the lifts probably feel worse on Smiler as both of them are not working as intended. With most gerst's the train stops at the bottom of the lift and the chain speeds up to get the catch car in place before slowing down so it gently connects with the train and then speeding back up to t...
Hey all :) this my first post, so first hello! I'm a bit of a coasterphobe I've only recently managed to do my first coasters I'm 31 and have always admired the art of coasters and how much fun they bring to people but have always been terrified! Since November I've managed... Drayton Manor - Buffa...
I hope they keep VR. I've never used it though. I want them to keep it because it makes the queue massive. But as soon as you reach the first member of staff they say "Non VR riders move past the queue!". So I never have to wait for more than 15 minutes to ride, even if the queue board say...
I love the ride, but it's not the most reliable one in the park. So i won't queue if it's longer that 45 minutes, it will break down at least once in that time. Also, for some reason, it doesn't always like hot weather
I find one train rougher than the other. It's almost unbearable in one, but much better in the other - i can't remember which colour is the smooth one though
Those ‘cloud chasers’ have a lot to answer for. Before sub ohming, and cloud chasers, most indoor places allowed vaping, it was inoffensive and didn’t cause anybody any bother. Then some folk started going too far, blowing out giant plumes of thick, sweet smelling, vapour and all hell broke loose. ...
