Re: The Blue Barnacle (formerly Black Buccaneer)

The Blue Barnacle is a decent name with potential for a creative story behind it. Hopefully Chessington do exactly that, I know they can do great stories for their rides and attractions, whether they are original, IP's or based on IP's.

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

Yes there is the archway held up by books behind it so the inflatable arch will be for the opening ceremony I think when it opens. Maybe they'll do like a VIP/Media Preview Day on the 20th.

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

I think as a starting area, with just one major story as well as Raj's introduction, it is a fantastic refurbishment. But it is definitely a phase one development. It will be expanded in the future to include the Theatre, Driving School and Alton Towers Dungeon site. Maybe one year Royal Carousel mo...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Maybe it could be more ticket purchase booths or maybe could be a security desk, so there is an actual section of the entrance dedicated to bag searches, etc. Could be too small for a security desk though

Re: Black Mirror Labyrinth

I do believe that the other events are just supporting the main headline attraction Black Mirror Labyrinth. But like 2019 was very surprisingly great, there's underrated expectations about this year too all around!

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

There was a lot of interesting options... I think this is a slight tease at projects they were looking into and projects they could go ahead with in the future. An indoor water coaster in X Sector would be fantastic as a replacement to Oblivion, when its time comes. Great way to revitalise that site...

That's very unfortunate. Hopefully they can get back on their feet from this and open up their new season in style

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

I've never been to an opening day of the season... This season is different because of the quality of the new ride and the 40th anniversary birthday this year.

Credit to Jack Silkstone for this latest winter construction vlog, but he says he can hear some noises but can anyone else here it? He did say on it that he dosen't know if the camcorder picked it up

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

So I wonder why it was spotted, painted silver at the back (Powers Towers Productions closed season vlog apparently) and also, is this a filler year for something new in that space for 2021?

Still unanswered questions about why there were rumours of its closure in the first place...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

I wonder if a new marketing director will help promote the park in a new direction? Also, hopefully there's no backwards step on actors, like you said

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Those are actually very good price cuts. It may not have anything to do with it, but I think the takeover of Merlin is providing wholesale changes and major improvements. Agreed?

Re: Nemesis - General Discussion

That is actually a decent shout. Maybe for the ride's 30th birthday in 2024, the ride will be fully retracked with newer B&M track, but it all depends on if the ride needs it or not.

Re: MACK Ride - New Concepts: The Rocking Boat & Power Loop

The Power Loop has Six Flags Magic Mountain's name all over it for 2021 haha. Rocking Boat would be great for Pirates In Batavia's refurbishment at Europa Park, but could also work as a reimagining for Valhalla or a Loggers replacement at Thorpe. Since Alton Towers don't have The Flume anymore, mayb...

Re: Chessington - The Future

I think that this is a fantastic investment. Once again, a section of the park that has got the official Chessington treatment, I did think that the area needed a theme of some sort and Toadies Crazy Cars is a classic ride. Plus this mini log flume is perfect for those underneath the height requirem...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

To be honest, I'm not sure. I think it’s still in bits onsite and the ship itself is still in that car park with some Flume boats, etc.
