Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

I really hope that the Alton Towers Dungeon this year was a phase 1 redevelopment of that area. 2020's focus needs to be on CCL and redeveloping that area of the park. Also, I feel like Wicker Man is out of touch with Mutiny Bay, so with Mutiny Bay 11 years old this year, this could be Alton Towers ...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Honestly I've seen the vids from inside parts of the attraction (excluding the Black River Boat Ride) and honestly, it might look like a fort/Saxon gateway at the facade, but inside there's so much great stuff to see! I agree that the facade looks slightly disappointing, but inside I'm so excited ca...

Re: Galactica - General Discussion

I think I'd rather expand behind Galactica in the car park area and have some new flats or family rides in there and then build a sign heading into Galactica for a space themed area

I am hoping Galactica is a phase one for a new area!

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

That's absolutely true. Hopefully though this all puts an end to the CCL saga and we can look towards a new area next year to complement the Dungeon. They wouldn't have added a Dungeon if they didn't have a phase 2 with the surrounding area. This is Merlin we are talking about here.... Anything is ...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I would say that the majority of more reasonable-minded people understand the need/reasoning for the Dungeon to be upcharge. However, I think there are frustrations with the fact that this isn’t the sort of attraction the theme park is most in need of at this time, following the removal of several ...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Yeah, I absolutely agree! Honestly though I hope it's worth the pay cause you can only get away with it if the quality of the ride is above that standard.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Yeah absolutely. The last show in the elevator section is unknown and I am so hoping that this'll be some kinda ride/simulator system either the elevator or a new system.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

We do know that guests will be making a stop at the Witch of Burslem’s haunted cottage and the judge is the Bishop of Stafford. The boat ride is definitely a sewer boat trip from that new Twitter video and of course the Torturer and the Plague Doctor. The last show in my opinion is secret, cause fir...

Re: The Future of Spinball Whizzer (Cbeebies Land Expansion?)

That's fair enough. It looks likely that Spinball will be gone in the next few years then

Re: The Future of Spinball Whizzer (Cbeebies Land Expansion?)

If it isn't sold, I would like to see it rethemed to CBeebies Land, so it dosen't have to leave and it means CBeebies could take over Adventure Land. Not sure what character would get there own coaster but you never know...

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

No I do believe those Thorpe Park relocation rumours will be dying by now unfortunately. I think Spinball will be removed but it won't be until they've invested in at least another family thrill coaster somewhere else and I've feeling that it'll be in the next 10 years or so

Yh absolutely agree. I think if Blade is to stay, I do think it should be rethemed to fit FV. Give the flat ride a backstory!

Re: Forbidden Valley Future

I believe that this looks like general refurbishments to upgrade the ride system so it can keep operating in the long term. And this also excludes those long term development plans cause they mentioned the removal of Blade, Flume, Ripsaw and Spinball (but of course, Spinball and Blade are still here).

Re: X-Sector refurbishment?

Smiler needs a new type of Gerstlaurer train or track to make it smoother. Oblivion needs an upgrade...maybe even a new name and a new looping flat ride in Submission's site. Maybe a next gen Submission but named to something else.

Absolutely pal! Would've been nice. Especially if it's a new attraction...tease it up on TLC as well as AT Twitter, FB, Youtube, etc

Re: Forbidden Valley Future

Yeah, I already knew that it'd be a 2018 finish for the Towers Loving Care program despite further improvements throughout the years. But the success of this should give Thorpe Loving Care a boost in happening! But I expect more TLC at Towers such as CCL, Ripsaw's site and more filled with new life ...

Re: The Future Of Th13teen

I do feel as if Th13teen will be a coaster to stay...but only if there aren't any storied coasters with better technology. Like one of those Dynamic Attractions SFX Coasters (Gringotts from Universal) but themed around Th13teen with an extended backstory!

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

See this makes me think that the old queue line part of Charlie will be split up. One section for the pre show into the first scene, then the first scene which'll flow into the boat ride with some new effects, then they'll do some more scenes afterwards but I kinda think they'll either keep that ele...

Re: Creative Ideas For new AT Attractions

Here is my idea for a scare maze at Scarefest: Alton Manor: We're All Dead Here Guests enter the queue line, filled with hanging lanterns and teddy bears tied up in a noose as if they are being hanged at the gallows. Visitors enter in groups of 10-15 and they wait in the living room floor. In a sudd...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion & Wishes

Oh no! THEY ARE DOING A THORPE PARK!! I bet they'll announce a relocated family ride for Dark Forest next but it'll look temporary.
