Re: Chessington - The Future

I think that this is a fantastic investment. Once again, a section of the park that has got the official Chessington treatment, I did think that the area needed a theme of some sort and Toadies Crazy Cars is a classic ride. Plus this mini log flume is perfect for those underneath the height requirem...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

To be honest, I'm not sure. I think it’s still in bits onsite and the ship itself is still in that car park with some Flume boats, etc.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I saw a response that thinks this is a Duel Retheme aha. It would've been a Duel Retheme if they announced it months ago. I'm thinking this is an early teaser to Scarefest and Fireworks or maybe late night riding, like park openings during summer months till 10pm or even midnight. But the Alton Towe...

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

I wonder if it will be like CBeebies Land, where we get news of the specific rides in January?

Re: Chessington - The Future

Just seen this on FB for UK Theme Parks and it seems as if Chessington World Of Adventures have announced that a new four year partnership will bring the Elmer character from the children's book to the relocated Flying Jumbos. Elmer's Flying Jumbos will open in 2020.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Completely agree and yeah I didn't see anything about a new parking system...

Also, "watch this space is", at least, something to get excited for.

Just saw this... There are mentions of fresh new additions to menus in 2020, something about Coca Cola Freestyle and also at the bottom, We're Initializing... Then underneath, "Watch. This. Space"

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

I think 2021 should be a flat ride year, especially with sister park Chessington World Of Adventures getting the drop tower on Rameses Revenge's site and I'm sure there's more flats coming to the UK and Europe, so I think Thirteen's picnic area and then combine the Blade and Ripsaw sites for a Zampe...

Re: The Future of RITA..

Yeah with Th13teen I really like the outside sections, the world's first element, the queue line experience both indoor and outdoor. Plus I think that the good thing about Rita surrounding it, as well as it's replacement if it is the site of SW9, is Th13teen had the site to work with and used it to ...

Re: SW9

Hopefully yeah. If Rita is set to go, we'll get some kind of announcement, either saying it's closed for the foreseeable future and dosen't operate at all in 2020 or it'll close towards the end of the summer to prepare the site over Scarefest 2020 and Christmas 2020. This would mean we could see con...

I think with the survey stuff as well (See Future Of Rita thread), I think the start of the secret weapon process could be coming sooner than expected.

Re: The Future of RITA..

Absolutely. Could this be the first signs of a new launch coaster for SW9? We have been asking for years for a woodie and we have one now, is Intamin or Mack Rides next? It is definitely interesting signs

Re: The Future of RITA..

I would not look much into this, but I saw an instagram story and someone says they have heard rumours about Rita being taken out sometime in 2020. Again, not looking into it much but I would keep half an eye out for this aha

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride

I'd love a zombie take on Space Station Zero aha. But, it'll probably be removed. Hopefully we get it back to X or X:No Way Out before closing.

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride

If the licensing expiry rumour is true, I think that it'll be linked to the Initializing 2020 tagline. On that basis, I think keep it the same, but differ the theming of the watch tower and I really would like the park to pay homage to the old coaster Space Station Zero. They've got the pyramid and ...

Re: Spinball Whizzer - General Discussion

It's definitely the weakest of the coasters, but that's because it's one of the best family thrill coasters, along with Th13teen and (technically) Wickerman. Best thing though, doesn't look like Spinball is going anywhere. But I remember all years of that coaster. I went on the original Spinball Whi...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

I am glad they'll be bringing in a parking system. I think 2020 will be general improvements and hopefully, 2020 will be the start of construction for a 2021/2022 project
