Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

I am glad they'll be bringing in a parking system. I think 2020 will be general improvements and hopefully, 2020 will be the start of construction for a 2021/2022 project

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

The headline attraction will be The Story Of Gangsta Granny, through a dark ride (trackless or popcorn revenge type Alterface dark ride)
Toadstool site becomes Air Race/Sky Fly/Sky Roller themed to Grandpa's Great Escape

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

I have also been thinking Grandpa's Great Escape could be a themed flat ride in the Toadstool site. The headline attraction, I think will be a dark ride travelling through scenes of all the books

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Well, Chessington have plans for 2020 and 2021 now, Alton Towers announces World Of David Walliams, Legoland parks have 2020/2021 plans... Is Thorpe's creative team having a later lie in? Do they need waking up and told "2020 IS ROUND THE CORNER?"

Re: The World of David Walliams - New for 2020

Something like Popcorn Revenge (Alterface) could be nice, or maybe a traditional dark ride, like Snorri Touren at Europa Park, themed around Gangsta Granny or Billionaire Boy

Re: SW9

Yeah that would be cool. Plus, I would personally like it to be track-on-track and I think Intamin are perfect.

Suspended and Looping Coasters themed to the Galactica story would be a good fit.

Re: Chessington - General Discussion

I think Chessington will do a fantastic job with this! Now we know Toadies Crazy Cars is staying and it has been given a new lease of life.

I am not sure exactly what theme the area will be, but we know its safari theming throughout both rides

I've a feeling this is for something bigger... A Forbidden Valley redevelopment, including Sub Terra and Blade sites

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Yeah definitely. That area by Quantum did need a bit of a redo into a newly themed ride. So it wouldn't be bad but I think Thorpe Park need to win the hearts of some fans again soon, cause renaming a currently SBNO ride is great, but I think that next year is the year they need to do a long term dev...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the investment for 2020! Absolutely embarrassing... But I'm sure that Jungle Escape will be a good event again and hopefully they'll improve whatever needs to be improved.

Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land Replacement

I definitely think that CCL will be closed off by the first week of Scarefest and I am starting to think that 2020 will bring Paddington's World. But, I would like the park to do a closing ceremony because with a possible IP coming in, I think that the days of Land Of Make Believe/Cred Street/Cloud ...

Walibi Holland will be redoing the Speedzone area with a Racetrack theme. Seems like the kids tower will probably be renamed too.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Maybe they'll remove the Saw IP for 2020. Depends on the lease of the IP rights and if they've extended the lease on the copyright for the Saw franchise

A repeat of 2019 would be very disappointing. Even an Angry Birds Land refurbishment would be acceptable

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Now I am stuck... Because I have no idea what Thorpe's doing for 2020!! Legoland has 2020/2021 sorted, Chessington has 2021 done and 2020 will probably focus on Jumbos relocation and Rameses' demolishment (but could still add a little extra something for 2020) and Alton at least has some constructio...

Someone that reported this on FB, brought up an interesting theory. What if they are relocating Detonator? New investment for Thorpe Park and Chessington World Of Adventures?

I cannot wait! Coaster wise, I am thinking woodie (from original plans), launch coaster (Star Trek themed now Paramount is on board), family coaster (why not) and I don't know about the 4th.
