Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Yh I absolutely agree. I think though that when details are revealed later on (if they go ahead), they'll definitely edit scare mazes with no touching from the actors but they'll resort to jumpscares and freaky appearances throughout the mazes. In terms of the mazes, I could only see Sub Species rep...

Re: The Next Themed Area or Area Refurbishment

Yeah I think Gloomy Wood is up for debate. Maybe that will be SW9 and it'll have a special element or break a record for the UK, Europe or the World. Either Intamin or (dare I say) Vekoma and themed to the area.

Re: The Next Themed Area or Area Refurbishment

Now that Cloud Cuckoo Land will be transformed into The World Of David Walliams for 2021, what area is next for a retheme, major refurbishment or some kind of major new attraction? Next SW? New dark ride/flat ride/water ride and where?

Re: Djurs Sommerland

Djurs Sommerland have revealed on their Facebook page a new attraction has been pushed back to 2022 from 2021. A themed sign has appeared, but theoretically, I think if we put 2 and 2 together, this sign is on the Jungle Safari ride site, which closed in 2019. The site labelled for 2022 is also on t...

See that worries me because I am anxious that this experience won't be as good as I first thought. It could just be first reactions, but I'm not sure

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If all the rides operate at under half capacity (2 people per row is now 1 person per row and for 4 person per car rides and coasters turn it into 2 per car and one at each side of the coaster car or ride car) and the park capacity is reduced drastically till the end of the season then it could work...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Looking back over the last couple of years on this thread, I wanted to conduct my own personal 5 year plan for Thorpe Park (realistically): 2021 - New events and more improvements to park infastructure 2022 - New family/thrill attraction(s) (Zamperla Hawk - aka Lumberjack at Canada's Wonderland and/...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

https://www.kentonline.co.uk/dartford/news/theme-park-boss-recovers-from-coronavirus-226181/ The original Spring date for planning has been pushed back to at least October. But I do respect PY Gerbeau, not just for recovering from COVID-19, but also he is really trying, along with his colleagues, to...

Yeah. Like the Fantasy Island situation when it was bought by the Mellors Group I do have hope for M&D's.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I'm thinking that 1st June date will get pushed back to at least 1st July, maybe even further back to 1st August and they'll just operate over August, September, October and November and to make up for those months they weren't open, maybe the Christmas event will get improved by letting park guests...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

Yeah I completely agree. I think that Alton Towers Resort will relaunch World Of David Walliams and other parks will relaunch their new attractions.

Chessington has an absolute field day. Rainforest area and Drop Tower in the same year haha!

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

Yeah I think if there was anything else as well as a relaunch for Walliams World, then it would be a few thousand pounds worth spent on refurbishing services like toiletries, planting, gardening, etc.

Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

Who else thinks that 2021 will be a year where there will be just general improvements and changes and maybe a couple of family rides? Just cause of the current pandemic and also with their next big project a couple years away in my opinion...

Re: SW9

Yeah that would be nice. It would be nice if Mack Rides did an extended Powersplash layout that's more of a water coaster than just two inclines at either side and a splashdown. Also something similar to an Aquatrax, like a Chiapas style system maybe, would be nice.

Re: SW9

What kind of coaster would be added in that site though? Would it be something with a lift hill or a launch and would it be low to the ground, a twisting & turning type coaster?

Re: SW9

Yeah I absolutely agree. I think if they were to gete rid of Woodcutters, then they'd need a new restaurant to replace it in the lineup. Ever since The Flume left the park, I've wanted a family water ride, something even the size of a Twist n Splash themed to pirates, a Galactica theme or something ...

Re: SW9

Cannot agree more and to be honest, my theory since Wicker Man opened has always been Rita's site, with some kind of launch coaster or something else, then a launch coaster somewhere else in the park at a different year.

Re: SW9

That is definitely true. It won't be until like halfway/towards the end of the decade that we get some kind of a pattern back again, so I know that it'll be worth the wait.

Re: SW9

2023 would work in my opinion, because Wicker Man is technically family thrill, and The Smiler is extreme thrill.

2023 is 10 years after Smiler, so that tells me it is a new thrill coaster, if 2023 does turn out to be the opening year of SW9..

From looking at this pattern, that is my theory.
