Re: Stealth

Stealth made a fairly nasty grinding noise as it went through the pre -station brakes. Little odd, as it's magnetic.

Re: Tidal Wave

Tidal Wave now has a member of staff permanently positioned at the turn before the station by the water cannons, on the guest side of the fence.

Not sure of their purpose other than to look really bored.

Re: Funny Things You've Overheard at Parks

Not heard, but seen. Two people standing up on a large rock in the Inferno queue line, at the point where the track goes over the queue after the second corkscrew.

Hate to imagine just how close to the ride envelope they were.

Re: Fright Nights

As reported by SouthParks News , a new Fright Nights teaser image has been released by Thorpe Park Resort. Putting a fearful spin on the infinity imagery used by the Resort earlier in the year, a new freakish hooded character is seen wielding a chainsaw. https://i.imgur.com/8aZgbTg.png In a departur...

It sure has. :) As reported by TowersTimes News , having been closed for maintenance since the beginning of the season, Enterprise has reopened today for the first time in 2019. The queue line and surrounding area have received a repaint in r...

Re: Saw Alive

With the removal of the last remaining artwork for SAW: Alive last week, SouthParks has looked back at Thorpe Park Resort's joint longest running scare attraction, which first opened in March 2010 as a year round attraction. https://www.southparks.co.uk/files/2015/10/splive_img_0596_hursty.jpg Based...

Re: Universal Studios Hollywood

Technical rehearsals for Jurassic World The Ride have begun, with a limited number of people able to experience the ride on the odd day that it opens. Looks nicely done, refurbishing the bits that really needed it, especially some of the animatronics. The screen section seems much better than I was ...

Re: Tayto Park

The plans for the new rollercoaster have been rejected. By complaints of noise by 4 local residents. This to me is very bad news I saw amarican adventure die due to a few locals not liking a theme park on there doorstep. That's quite surprising, I hadn't realised it had gone to appeal after being a...

Re: Nemesis - General Discussion

I always got confused with the red river as I always assumed the water was self contained so never flowed back to a natural water but doing that could solve a lot of issues. Correct me if I'm wrong or talking rubbish! Lol I suspect they thought the same when they dyed the water red. Sadly, water ha...

Re: Merlin General Discussion - New Owners agreed in £4.8bn deal

So just avoid any confusion, what exactly could this mean for Alton Towers and Thorpe just out of curiosity? Do Merlin still own these sites or have they been sold off to Blackstone? Sorry I'm dumb :lol At the moment Merlin are still the same Merlin they were before this announcement. The proposed ...

Yep, there's a whole load of white paint cans in the tent at the moment, and few broken things like a cabinet. :)

Re: Stealth

Stealth appeared to die fairly significantly today. I'm not sure if it ever came back online by the end of the day, but for most of today staff were stationed at the Stealth plaza entrance, turning people away.
