Re: Food & Beverages

I may have just never noticed it this year, but it appears that Proper Cornish have been relocated to Peckish rather than outright removed. I didn't really see any sign of them at the counter this weekend, but it would be great if they are regularly available. Especially given the increased populari...

I’m not sure if this has already been asked, but is there MAP discount on the Coke Freestyle cups?

There sure is. I can't remember exactly the price of the cup (although off the top of my head it's about £2 cheaper than standard), then refills are £4 (£6 without MAP) per visit.

Re: The Swarm

After smelling like the water system has had a fairly significant clean, the water jets by the helicopter are back on! :)

Re: Colossus

In a bid I suspect to try and make the station operate a little more efficiently, the gate on the baggage rack has been removed. In theory it should have been moved by staff after each train, but in reality there was never enough time with all the rechecks that occur on Colossus, meaning only half t...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

The other crazy thing is that the queues around both parks were reasonably high for everything else too! I wonder if Disney World is currently empty?

It looks like tomorrow we may see a virtual queue added. I'm guessing they can't use half the park as a queuing system long term.

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Seems to be fluctuating between that and 360 minutes on the app. But no doubt about it, that queue is huge!

Thankfully Universal are really good at managing crowds and massive queues, with food/drink and rest options available!

Re: Loggers Leap [Retired]

That's a good question. There was a tiny amount of theming after what used to be the tunnel and in the station, but other than that perhaps not much other than boats.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hello! Apologies for my first post being a question, long time lurker but never actually joined. I’m returning to the suite in a couple of weeks as we got engaged there so a bit of an anniversary...does the ANR still have it’s own car parking space towards the front of the hotel car park? I think i...

Re: SP Southern Screamer 2019 - Reviews & Feedback

Absolutely loved this event! The Inferno ERT was crazy and the staff did an absolutely amazing job in not only getting us dispatched so quickly (perhaps the fastest Inferno has ever dispatched :lol), but also in quickly organising us with an on-ride queue for the front row. Takeovers were as fun as ...

It appears a portion of Tornado Springs will be  opening on 21st July . Buffalo Falls will be open to all guests from 21st July, following the great Buffalo Falls Race, which happens a month earlier on  21st June  as part of the on-going storyline. https://i.imgur.com/FdLKm3l.png   An additional upd...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Food and Beverage

Doesn't look particularly appetising. But also doesn't look like something that would normally be sent out by the RCR, nor to menu specification.

My guess is this was sent out incomplete. I'm sure staff would have resolved it with a replacement when informed.

But at least the lettuce looks fresh!

Paultons Park have released a short video showing the history of the park from 1983, as part of their build up to their largest single development, Tornado Springs, in 2020.

Re: When Is Immersive TOO Immersive?

Creating a living breathing world, certainly sounds like a great idea. Especially to marketing folks. If that world is also an already known entity, even better. I'm perhaps in two minds. Building these believable worlds you can escape to, is exactly what the Disney parks have been about, especially...

Re: Loggers Leap [Retired]

Well it's definitely not re-opening. :P It would be fairly amazing if the park now quietly forgets about the auction, given the way they made such a big thing about its definite removal and subsequent auction in the run-up to the season starting. I guess the auction is expected to make a splash-back...

Re: Flamingo Land

From the offride of Altair, it looks like there are really minor profiling changes in the last turn, which doesn't seem to raise like Colossus', and a slight left shuffle before the first corkscrew. Everything looks so much smoother on Altair compared to Colossus. Now whether this thing will be as s...
