A nice little video produced by Merlin for National Rollercoaster Day.

It seems that this Mack family coaster is the most likely ride type.

Re: Bags

Was hoping to take our own alcohol for the evening time as we are staying over, however we can't check in until 3pm so that would mean carrying our bags around the park all day until then, I know we aren't aloud glass bottles or to drink in the park (for good reason) but I'm wondering if we will ge...

Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land Replacement

I find it interesting how in nearly every comment about the possible future of CCL, there is a link to an existing externally owned IP. I find it slightly sad that theme park imagination has now become more about what IP could fit in a space, rather than what magic could be made. I'd love to see Tow...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

The Quantum situation is really peculiar. It was first testing back in May, then opened for barely half a day nearly a month back, and has been closed ever since. I'm not even sure it has been seen testing since then. It clearly seems like it is meant to be open. It even recently received shiny new ...

This video made me happy!

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

The only alteration I would make on the above is to do Hex on the way out of Dark Forest, after riding Rita and Th13teen. As Hex will never have a queue, but in the time it takes for you to do Hex, you may find a queue has formed for the other rides. :)

Re: Stealth

Stealth seems to have been closed for about 3 or 4 days now and looks like it will be closed again today. Thorpe haven’t made any announcement to say it will be closed so does anyone know what’s up with it? Typically Stealth will have it's launch cable changed mid-season, which can take a few days,...

Bear?? :lol

I suspect it's neither. The term bear with us is the correct spelling. :)

Re: Worst thing you've ever accidently done at a park.

I may have inadvertently caused a ride shut down. I'm unsure, but I raised my restraint at the end of the ride, there was a loud bang, the ride then shut down for an hour.

Not saying which one. :sus:

Re: Rollercoaster Restaurant

I was given the opportunity to try out the new menu over the weekend, and was massively impressed with the items on offer. Each of the burgers had their own unique flavour and identity, with none of the items being a typical "cheese burger/bacon and cheese burger/chicken burger". More ofte...

Vulcan Peak is definitely not returning! :lol

I do wonder though if Jungle Escape could possibly be used somehow at Fright Nights. The second new fear mentions a challenge. A slight adjustment to make the story line more fearful and add some additional actors, could be an interesting twist.

How many times have you been in that Jungle Escape room? Is it still active? I've been through Jungle Escape 3 times. Twice as part of a preview, where my posted images came from, and once as a paid for customer (well, Dom paying :) ). Jungle Escape is currently scheduled to remain open until Septe...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Like all of the above, the single ride queue was open all weekend regardless of main queue line size. It was working really well, great management and I saw no issues from guests. What was interesting was that the mist effect had seemed to turn itself into a rain effect on the queue line. With a goo...

Quite excited by this. I love flying theatres, so having one in the UK will be good. I believe Merlin use a different manufacturer to Disney and a couple of European parks, I hope that its ride feels just as good.
