Re: Cnut Park- Planet coaster project

Autumn 1977 Halloween is here and with it Adventure Kingdom is open late along with a spooky trail! Since the park is open late they've added some lampposts. The main mascot of their Halloween event is King Ghoster, the brother of the park's main mascot, King Coaster: https://i.imgur.com/t6ozcXM.pn...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

What do you mean “Thorpe have had 3 off years”?  I mean a year with little to no investment. 2017 saw a refurbishment and a few new kiddie rides, 2018 saw a retheme of a coaster and 2019 has the IP from I'm a celeb removed and some new grass. This is the first “off” season Thorpe have had in a long...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

There's been a mixed reaction the the Thorpe park announcements. Here's my opinion on it: They're  having several off-years. In my opinion, an 'Off-year' is a year where a park doesn't do much. Thorpe park has had 3 consecutive Off-years now and, while off-years are normally ok, Thorpe park has had ...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Well, Grand National now holds the record for most naked people on a rollercoaster:

Very interesting. They must have been freezing!

Re: Cnut Park- Planet coaster project

Ok, I've decided to try and redo this topic again, with a more realistic approach: Spring 1977 As you enter you are greeted with a water tower: https://i.imgur.com/Dv5mzcy.png You can get a pretty good view of the park's signature attraction, American Arrow, from the car park:   https://i.imgur.com/...

Anything happening this year?

According to the winter updates on Facebook, the Circus Land area (By waterfall) has closed to make way for a new family attraction for this year.

Great, I can now claim that I've ridden a coaster that has since closed!

Re: The Future of Spinball Whizzer (Cbeebies Land Expansion?)

I would like see Spinball sold to another UK Theme Park, somewhere like Paultons could benefit with a family thrill coaster and they could give it a theme as well. New paint, new theme, all new makeover to fit the image. Have the cars like dinosaur eggs or something. It's not going to Paultons. Fir...

Re: Loggers Leap - Officially Retired

I know Thorpe Park want to be a thrill park and only install attractions which appeal to teenagers. However, not all their guests are 16-year-old McDonalds workers, and there are plenty of families who don't want to be terrified on TWD:TR. The ride really hasn't lost much of its magic, but still, bri...

Re: Paultons Park

Paultons have been showing Merlin up in their build up to new additions for 2020. A new themed land, with what looks like a new roller coaster, updated log flume and some flats. http://i.imgur.com/xK53TO8.jpg Source Have to say, this could make Paultons the leading UK family park in my view. Which ...

Ok... A few weeks ago I came back from Adventure Kingdom, a new theme park. Here's the first part of my review... The entrance has one of the wooden coasters, The Monster: https://i.imgur.com/UZ0BINu.png Generally, The Monster is a great ride! Here are a few photos of the entrance and station: https...

Re: Sozzy40's Park trips and Reviews

MEGAFOBIA I thought that, for my first coaster review, I'd do my first 'favourite' coaster, my first wooden coaster and I think it was also my first ride designed by John Wardley.  Getting into it, this ride is by far the most picturesque attraction I've ridden. It isn't themed, or even 'stylised',...

Sozzy40's Park trips and Reviews

So, this is my thread for my park visits and reviews of attractions. Before we get into things, I'd just like to say that, excluding Disneyland Paris, I've never been outside the UK and I probabaly won't in 2019. Also, I don't currently ride anything bigger than say Grand National. But, basicially, ...

Did anyone else notice that Spinball Whizzer was listed as Sonic Spinball?

No, it seemed to be Spinball to me. I put:

Single fastrack tickets, maybe abolishment of the system. More parkwide transport. Not me personally, but I know some people really want single rider back. I think that's all.

Ok, a bit of a breakthrough! After some research, i discovered some information on CoasterForce about a Tornado Springs twitter account, with some evidence it was linked to PP. I had a look at it and imgur does'nt seem to be co-operating so here's a link to the CoasterForce page: http://coasterforce...

SOS 1982 Woah. Visiting family and came across this monster of a ride(literally, it's called The Monster). The wooden coaster weaves it's way out and back.through the woodland, through a tunnel and around a lagoon: https://i.imgur.com/891K46p.png https://i.imgur.com/mh2DmCN.png https://i.imgur.com/L...
