Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

There will be a backlash if it’s not included... MAP gets you into AT and all other dungeons... Why not AT Dungeon?

NO WAY am I paying to go into AT Dungeon as a MAP Holder... Not that I’m overly interested anyway.

Re: Traveling in your own

As Swarm says, travelling alone has it’s benefits. I got something like an hour and 15 minutes exclusive ride time on Taron at Phantasialand, where I was able to sit on the same train non stop!!! Absoloutely nobody I know (in the real world, not online) would have been up for that!!!

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

It hasn’t been demolished Scruffy. At least not yet. Looks like they’re just removing the facade that was damaged in the storm in October.

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

What a waste of money. I can’t think of a ride that has ever dissapointed me more. I honestly wouldn’t care at all if they closed it now. Apart from the fact it regulary ‘stores’ people in it’s queue for well over an hour meaning I get to ride the coasters more!!! The restraints on Collossus really ...

Re: SW9

Launch coasters aren't gimmicks in any way. In practical terms, they are perfectly suited to a park like Alton Towers which cannot have a high lift hill in most areas. We need a thrill ride for SW9, it has been nearly 6 years since the last one. An Intamin blitz in Forbidden Valley would do the job...

Re: Phantasialand

4 years between major additions seems reasonable anyway. Maybe there’s hope fior Wintertraum?

Re: Nemesis - General Discussion

I've found Nemesis to be quite tame this season. Not sure why. Its also a shame that the back row is still restricted to disabled pass but I understand their thinking. I tried front row for the first time in April. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype and got off thinking 'meh' If you go on ...

Re: Rita - General Discussion

Could they have been just wearing new wheels in? I haven’t found it to be rough at all, but my first visit last year was at the end of June. I think it would depend on the cause of the roughness. New and old wheels can apparently make a coaster rough. That’s easy. Wear the wheels in / change the whe...

Ride Sims 2

www.ridesims.com went live with Ride Sims 2 today. Had fun operating Taron, Helix and Baron this afternoon.

Needs to be accessed from a computer with flash installed. NO HANDHELD SUPPORT. Macbook Pro users should use Chrome not Safari, as keyboard controls were not working for me in Safari.

Re: Phantasialand

Looking like a capsule hotel isn’t it? Which is great, because I think PL’s hotels are already reasonable, especially with the annual pass discount, presumably a capsule hotel will be cheaper still.

It was over priced, poor value and generally not very nice. We did try it, twice, wasn't impressed.

Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park London

Enjoyed my visit today, never been so lots of new creds. Olympia Looping surprised me, it’s forceful and a damn good coaster for a travelling ride. Ice Mountain was brilliant, we were on our own, just the 2 of us on one side with the other empty. So we spun like crazy!!! Have never, ever, spun like ...

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

Interesting is that the membership price is less than paying it all in one go? That seems, strange. I suspect that is a way of trying to encourage families to use the scheme as, unlike with the Annual Pass, there isn't the option to have a family membership at a discounted rate. I've not had time t...

Re: Tayto Park

Trying to think of twin coasters Europe doesn’t have.  There is the 2 mentioned previously, launched racer, and the one in China... The only other ones I can come up with is a Racing Hybrid, but the height is low for RMC. Or a dueling inverted / suspended coaster, which would surely be very expensiv...
