Re: Tomb Blaster

I went on Tomb Blaster back at the beginning of August and most of the targets weren't turned on and half of the effects were not working. I was so disappointed after hearing that the ride received a revamp.

Re: The Next Themed Area or Area Refurbishment

but I hope any refurb takes time to rationalise the muddled layout we’ve got today. I think this would be fantastic for the park. The entrance being so far out the way does agitate a lot of visitors, though it is such a beautiful view walking into the park looking over at the lawns and the towers. I...

Re: SW9

A B&M Hyper won't ever happen due to the restrictions. Unless they fancy digging a 200ft+ trench...  Or if the locals decide not to restrict the UK's largest theme park from building roller coasters. It is so strange that a park with so many world's first coasters, including 3 iconic B&M co...

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Thirteen for me is becoming better with age, as the surroundings grow and it sinks into the area it is better. Yes the ride is a few years old now and wont necessarily change i think its a solid family coaster and fits well within the current lineup of coasters. It could change significantly if the...

What kind of coaster would be added in that site though? Would it be something with a lift hill or a launch and would it be low to the ground, a twisting & turning type coaster?

It can't be that big. Personally, I'd like to see an Aquatrax, with short steep lift hills and short launches

Re: SW9

Other options involve making the oblivion queue more compact, getting rid of the arcase and filling up the space in X-sector (would make it a bit crowded mind). Yesss, I was thinking the same thing when I was looking at Alton Towers on the satellite view. The Oblivion queue takes up an unreasonably...

Re: Liseberg May 2020

Liseberg has an amazing traditional log flume that is well worth checking out. I also recommend JukeBox as a fun family flat.  As for money, Sweden is expensive when it comes to food. Expect to be paying £20 per meal, unless you make your own food or buy in a supermarket. The bus going from the airp...

Re: The Blue Barnacle (formerly Black Buccaneer)

The Blue Barnacle is not yet listed under the attractions on the website. I wonder when the original opening date was planned to be for. The other two additions for 2020 are listed.

Re: SW9

The thing is, I feel like there needs to be a way of pulling people back to the park after all national restrictions are lifted. The best way to do it is obviously investment. I don't know how finances are managed for the park or Merlin, but I do know that loans are taken out for the construction of...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Looking at Thorpe Park on Google Maps really shows how much free space they have.  - The Saw: Alive building is not being used, meaning that the queue line and that whole path is not being used (apart from an unnecessary "short cut" between Lost City and Saw). The Bouncezilla site is also ...

Re: Black Mirror Labyrinth

If anyone hasn't watched the show, you can watch it in any order and I highly recommend the episodes: "Shut up and Dance", "The National Anthem", "San Junipero", "The Waldo Moment", "Bandersnatch", "White Christmas", "Smithereens"...

Re: SW9

Air car park is an interesting case. I'd love to see that space used for developments of the Resort, but I'm unsure on whether it'd be doable as a theme-park expansion as it's so far away from the rest of the park. We could see the Galactica gate and possibly the Woodland Walk to link it to the exi...

Re: SW9

It seems that in order to build anything large we'd need to see something be removed first, so I'm personally hoping that we see Rita scrapped for something else, possibly another launch coaster like Taron. However, as others have said, Rita is still popular amongst the public, so there's all the c...

Re: SW9

Where do you all think SW9 would be located?  - Air car park, now that the car park is being expanded?  I can't see this happening. The expansion seems to be for busier times of the year, so that people don't need to park on the grass. If Forbidden Valley were to get another coaster, it would feel ...

Re: Black Buccaneer

I wonder if it will be the same model or a completely new model using a similar base area. There are new foundations, so we should expect this new ship to be with us for a long time.  It's a brand new ride. It is no longer going to be a Huss (or so I'm told). Oh, interesting! Hopefully it swings as...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

"System initialising_ #ThOrpEpaRk" was the caption for the fuzzy Stealth photo on Instagram 5 days ago. The same hashtag and photo effect was used for a photo of Nemesis Inferno on Valentines Day, making me think that these hints aren't just directed towards Stealth. Another picture of St...
