Re: Downtime 2015

I was at the park yesterday, and yeah N:ST was closed all day. Air was off for a good couple of hours in the afternoon, got on it when it reopened and it broke again. Was stuck outside the station for a few minutes. I was also at the front of the front-row queue for Rita when it broke too. They advi...

Re: Is The Smiler as head banging as SAW: The Ride at Thorpe Park?

I found Saw to be really smooth the first year it opened, but after going last year I found it quite rough. I found the Smiler to be much rougher than Saw. I rode it twice to make sure, and it's now one of two rides I'll think twice about going on in the future. To put it in perspective I have liste...

Re: The Smiler

Just been on the Smiler for the first time today (technically yesterday now). I was very impressed with the theming and general look of the ride, including inside the station. The white interior felt quite unique, and all the little features dotted around such as text which are part painted on the w...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Just been catching up on the latest posts - what's with the track markings? All the paint has gone and it's not even open yet. It looks like it's been open a few years already. The less said about "that support" the better. Never seen anything like that. I take it Gerst approved it? I don'...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The ride looks amazing, it's about time we had another coaster with inversions! It's a lot bigger than I initially thought when construction started. Shame about the name though, I really hate the name & the entire theme for this ride. The spider from the plans looked awesome, but that latest dr...

Re: Nemesis: Sub-Terra Discussion (**contains spoilers**)

Went on Sub-Terra for the first time yesterday, and I thought it was amazing! They have put a lot of effort into this ride and the special effects & actors are superb. It felt like I was in one of the Alien films during an action sequence. I especially loved the countdown and rush to the exit li...

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

I was there today too. It did break down early in the day though, I saw them working on the track at the bottom of the first drop, and loads of people suddenly had passes which they all used on Rita lol. Regarding the new brakes: looks like there is one at the base of the first drop, and another jus...

Re: Quick Questions 2010

3. Where is the bus stop in relation to Uttoxeter station? Is it pretty obvious, or are there signs or anything? The bus stop is literally right next to the station. You walk off the platform and keep going straight (if approaching from stoke-on-trent direction.) The first time I went I just follow...

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

Went on Thirteen for the first time today (5 times!) and thought it was excellent. I heard an announcement in the station which said something like "reduce capacity of train 2". In the afternoon there were 3 trains running, and all but one were running with the back 2 rows empty. I think i...

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think there would be a discount but it was worth asking :)

Re: Quick Questions 2010

Is there a discount for annual pass holders on the AT transport buses? I'm guessing not.

G-Force (Drayton Manor) restraints

I'm going to Drayton Manor again soon, and I want to ride G-Force. The problem is the last few times I went on it the restraints got really tight after the first drop, so much so I literally couldn't breathe! I was wondering if anybody knows of a solution to this? (e.g. pushing the bar outwards duri...

Re: Quick Questions 2010

You print off a form when you buy it online, you then exchange this for a ticket which will get you into the park, and once in, the office to the left when entering the park will sort your actual pass out for you. I'm not sure, but i think it's valid from the day you go to the park and get your act...

Re: Quick Questions 2010

If I buy an annual pass online, is it valid from the day I purchase it, or from the day I collect it at the resort?

Also where would I collect it from & do I have to pay to get in?

Thanks!

Thanks. It's still good for 4 when bought with an annual pass I suppose.

Re: Quick Questions 2010

If I have an annual pass, can I use a 2 for 1 voucher with it to get a friend in for free? I'm guessing not, but I thought I'd ask because the annual pass is like a prepaid ticket.
