Re: Sad news Keith Sparks passes away.

Such a dire shame... :( He was one of the Haunted House' greatest visionaries behind John Wardley and bought us a ride which quite literally scared me senseless when I was a child. His work lives on though in spirit. I vote that Alton Towers put his head back into the Queue line fireplace to immorta...

Hey there! This is probably a question best suited to the 'General Questions' topic... but still I think the site you're thinking of is here:

One from me this time!

Whatever happened to the old childrens play area that sat above the swimming pool in the Alton Towers Hotel? Is it still there/being reused for anything?

Looking at it... It reminds me of... those beach huts they used for that summer event a few years back? (The Bucket and spade event I think it was called)

Re: You never know what people get up to on the quiet

Something similar happened at my old school a little while back. (2004 I think?) We saw our school's site manager being bundled away into a police van at school. It was then when it was revealed that he was actually a paedophile. The house he used to live in (on the school site) has now been repurpo...

Worst Decision The removal of the Swans Best New Theming Has to be Mutiny Bay and the theming on Battle Galleons! Contradiction? :P[/quote] Not exactly... It was a poor idea to replace them with splash karts. However the replacement of splash karts with Battle Galleons more than made up for it in m...

Re: Snow Watch 2009/2010

Whilst not exactly a snow pic (There is still a nice covering of it here in south glos), This does show the extent to how bad the roads can be. The vid was shot just before christmas and I can only imagine that we may be getting similar conditions once the snow starts to clear. The music was added i...

Re: Corkscrew loops?

Personally... I really like the sound of this colour scheme!

Thinking back to Corkscrew's colours; dark/greenish supports and a bone-like yellow.

This new colour scheme of purple and gold will glorify the corkscrews I feel. Just what it deserves after the many years of service it's given us.

Wasn't sure if this was worthy of a topic all by itself in the archive boards... so here goes! Having been on Charlie a few times now... am I wrong in believing that an old piece of Toyland Tours has been re-used in the inventing room segment of the ride? (Not the closed off section that nobody sees...

Re: Texting whilst driving

Amazingly, I know the people that made this documentary. (They are lecturers at my University) and simply put, they know how to get a job done and this shows it. I believe they are shooting a full 30 minute feature to go along with this footage which will probably find its way to a TV feature someti...

Re: Thorpe Park 2009: Saw - The Ride

Whilst the trains do look rather generic, they do their job nicely! The blood spatter is a lovely touch too :P One Idea I also had was for an internal scene. An idea that the car would stop inside and an enormous spinning sawblade looms high above you. Screaming is heard, The lights cut and the ride...
