Hotels CLOSED January-March?

Hi All, Does anyone know why the resort is closing down from 3rd January until the end of March???? We usually go for a weekend stay in the hotels Jan/Feb time and have a great time in the waterpark and making the most of the hotel facilities, but this year I noticed no availability on the website. ...

i really hope this isn't true. I can see it now...Ripsaw goes, a less thrilling family orientated ride put in its place, another year goes by without a decent thrill attraction and alton loses the interest of more thrillseekers.

The thing that annoys me is if you decide to walk, there isnt even a proper path or route to follow!!
I mean, for us guys its no problem, but for the average customer i think its poor. There should be signs and a path, maybe even just a painted path on the tarmac.

Yes the car parks at Blackpool arearound £8 for the whole day Nick! Its a RIP OFF! I think though with blackpool; becuase the car parks are sort of seperated from the park itself, it seems parking is seperate from the visit to the park itself and gives the impression car parks could be run by an out...

Some of the theming is great, i wish the CRR at AT had such good theming; but theres far too much metal and concrete about!!! Makes the bits of good theming look farcical!

I really dont like the sound of this. Dont get me wrong, a pirate area sounds great, but just not in Merrie England. Its too close to the park entrance IMO. Surely theming for a pirate area would have to be elaborate and would stand out quite a fair bit; we dont need another eyesore as people enter ...

Yeah! i remember that, the water is far to dirty now though, you would catch salmonella or something!

To be honest i think its just the colour of the water trough making the water look dirty.
I used to love those water jets on the rapids; they need to bring little features like this back.

I really think the access road should go ahead. No it wouldn't effect the traffic coming from cheadle way, but those Utoxeter roads get awfully busy on the way into and out of the park. Would make for a much nicer journey for customers, and a much better life for the Alton locals! If it was AT's roa...

Hmmm, i did at first like the sound of this event, but ive gone off it now. Whats with all the bollywood bhangra type acts?!!! I was hoping for a much wider variety of acts so it appeals to more people. If it was originally going to be called 'Alton does Bollywood' like Stoky said, then i feel this ...

Aaahhh, dont even get me started on the blasters. Theres loads either missing or dont work now; and i always find that some blasters fire much faster than others, which is a pain if you get a slow one, you have no chance of a good score!

Duel actually is falling to bits, literally. The moving tunnel is completely out of line, here are huge gaps either side of it where you can see the outside shell and loads of light shines through :x I also hate the bit after the tunnel withy the face the splits open exposing the under face; it look...

I think it should be brought up at the next Customer Council meeting, why cant it be brought back?

It should definately be brought up; a perfectly good piece of theming sitting there doing nothing. Why they removed it in the first place is beyond me.

Oh my, i wasnt expecting that sort of response :P Ok, maybe my comment was slightly inappropriate, but i do feel that what i said displays the views of the community as a whole. For sure it is only the small percentage of muslims who are extremeists, and its a shame for all those who are fair law ab...

Bloody terrorists, they all need shooting. Im staying well clear of any muslim people carrying rucksacks for the time being

Anyway, i think that AT should take great note of these events and increase park security, we all know that the security is very poor at AT, its almost non existant.
