Re: Cloud Cuckoo Land Replacement

I think being so far into the season now this attraction will only be a short term thing. CCL really needs a complete overhaul. The park is in desparate need of an area to cover the ages between CBeebies and the next step up coasters. It's been mentioned before but I think a LegoLand would be perfec...

Re: PortAventura World

Yes queue jumping was hurrendous but I think that's more down to the cattle pen, low fence set up of the queue lines. Odds are if Alton had queue lines like that there would be a lot more of it going on and while there was a lot of school trips there I never really found tem too bad. The older ones ...

Re: PortAventura World

Hey Everyone, Just back from a family holiday at Portaventura World and I have to say what a fantastic resort. We stayed in the Hotel Caribe. Very nice clear hotel with a great beach pool and the food was always to a very good standard every day. Portaventura park itself has a great variety of rides...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I went to the park for the first time in 6 years yesterday and whilst I had a great time and the Wickerman was brilliant, I cannot help but feel that the park is really starting to lack in flat rides. Submission gone, Ripsaw gone, Enterprise not looking like its going to be open for a while, Twirlin...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

Right I went on this yesterday and here is my review based on my experience. Now I have the premium season pass which means that access to the dungeons is free which to be honest is a good thing because if I had to have paid for that I genuinely feel that I would have felt ripped off. Don't get me w...

Re: Duel - General Discussion

To be honest I think Duel’s problems are more than skin deep.

The ride opened in 1992 and, in my opinion, needs a huge overhaul to bring the ride system and effects into the 21st century. It really needs to be shut for a year and completely redone.

Re: Planet Coaster

Playing the beta and downloading some of the user created parks. They are insane. If anyone wants to add me on steam and share some content my steam name is wortho88.

Same here. Get to grips with it first then try and start an attempt at an Alton Towers recreation once I have confidence with it.

Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

Hi everyone. It's been a very long time since I have been on here so I thought it best to reintroduce myself. My real name is Sam. I worked at Alton Towers nearly 8 years ago now before I joined to RAF. Got married and had a daughter since then and she is starting to get into her rides now. Anyway I...

Parkitect

Parkitect has just gone live on steam early access at just over £13 and I must say for an alpha its a really good game. Yes it is lacking a bit in content atm but its only alpha and user content and modding is already in full swing. Can not wait to get more creative on it. Anyone else played it yet?

Re: Xbox One

I know what you mean BUT the Kinect MUST be with the Xbox One at all times, while a computer can work without a webcam, so can most other things including the PS4, so really, I think microsoft may be perverted... I thought they sorted that out so that you don't, when they made it so that you d...

Re: Xbox One

I've pre ordered the Xbox One. I like the features they are bringing to it, its a shame that the steam type thing they were trying to do was shot down. I like the concept of steam as I like going back to old games every now and again. The kinect doesn't bother me as I use it from time to time and it...

Formula 1 BBC vs Sky

Having watched the highlights of qualifying on the BBC and being very impressed I was wondering how it compared to sky's coverage. I currently dont have sky so was just wondering on people thoughts who may have seen both. I have been seeing a lot of negative comments on sky's coverage online.

Re: Pleasure Beach Blackpool - Nickelodeon Land 2011

As much as I enjoy going to PBB I really think that the place is starting to fall behind. Yes they have done a brilliant re-theme with nickelodeon land but the last major ride they built was infusion and even that wasn't a new ride. It was instead the truma tizer from south port when they shut that ...

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

After going on th13teen on sunday and 4 times today I have simply come to one conclusion. th13teen is absolutely, positively brilliant. When I went, I went on with the mind set that the ride was going to be a family coaster, so I was expecting boredline thrill, but not on par with nemesis and co see...

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

well, my view is for a family coaster its going to me good, but for what they have built it up to be leaves alot to be desired however looking at the footage alot wasn't working so I'll hold my breathe on this until I have ridden it my self. Nice to see alton management trying to look inconspicuous ...

Re: So, what job do you do?

I do logistics for the Royal Air Force which can range from transporting high end officers, to transporting jets and parts on trucks, to refuelling jets and combat driving. In other words what ever the Air Force task me with, It's a good job and life style but has its pros and cons like in any other...
