Re: Naked Roller Coaster World Record

Well Done to everyone that took part, £22,000 is an incredible amount of money to raise for such a worthy cause.

To clarify, even though 102 people took part, the new world record stands at 40 naked riders as this is the amount one train can accommodate.

Re: SW6 / Thirteen - Ride & Construction discussion

Not really contributing to the discussion, but after reading through the vast amount of pages I am incredibly excited to see the progress of Thirteen. It appears to be exactly what enthusiasts have been asking for at Alton for a long time, it really goes to show that those horrid 2001-2005 years are...

Re: Adventure Island - General Discussion

Hi All, Just a few updates from sunny Southend, as that is all I ever post about. :P - Adventure Island has had record visitor numbers this year, with a 13% increase in visitor numbers and a total of 2 million people passing through the parks gates. A lot of people have been taking "staycations...

Re: Adventure Island Wristband Questions

I was having a look at the Adventure Island site and there were a few things i was unsure about. Firstly, half price wristband after 6pm are advertised. If you buy a wristband before 6pm at the higher price, will it still be valid for use after 6pm? So in other words, can a wristband bought before ...

Re: Adventure Island - General Discussion

Harry Potter star "Rupert Grint" visited the park on Saturday, an article on his visit can be found at the link below. He certainly is one of the more higher profile celebrities to have visited the park, other famous visitors include Bradley Walsh, Cheryl Ferguson and Jade Goody. Blue Pete...

Re: Adventure Island - Team Building

No worries about not being able to make it etc, totally understand as it is a heck of a way to travel and it was last minute so most people already had plans. I've managed to get enough people through staff and hopefully I will be able to offer another similar opportunity sometime later in the year ...

It will be a package we would sell to corporate clients and it would revolve around an Annika ...

Re: 2009: Sea Life Aquarium

Fantastic! Not only do I love the entrance theming, but I think this will be a nice addition to Alton Towers. Very much enjoyed the Sealife at Chessington, was nice to get away from it all and enjoy the experience for 20 minutes or so. No doubt it will be a hit just like Chessingtons, I just hope th...

Re: Annual Pass Holders...Do you ever get bored of visiting AT?

Yes and no. Last year I visited more times than I can remember and after a while I still enjoyed my visits but they did not feel as magical or interesting as they used to be. This year I've visited just a couple of times and I enjoy my visits a lot more and generally feel more excited about the enti...

Re: Adventure Island - General Discussion

Got a couple of rides on Over The Hill today as it is in finale testing stages. If you experienced Beelzee Bob's and enjoyed it you will without a doubt love Over The Hill and appreciate how much it has vastly improved. It has everything that made Beelzee Bob's good but is now more technically advan...

I believe each group upon purchase of their tickets gets one for free, but any additional ones are at a cost of 50p. All maps inside the park even at guest services are subject to a fee of 50p still also.

Whats the latest on Aeronaught?! Or whatever it was called?! Has it been scrapped? Any major plans for 2009 or 2010? Aeronaut has not been scrapped, due to delays at the manufacturer it meant they could not deliver the ride on time and the time they could deliver it for would be during the summer w...

Although no photos, throughout this week a brand new full ride audio system has been installed on Devils Creek Gold Mine by Adam Slevin Creative Services. I was treated to a preview of it today and it certainly is of an exceptional standard of which Adventure Island has not been treated to before. I...
