I liked it, well themed, good pacing, after the extremely long lift hill that is.

When I rode it, the cars only spun on the lift hill, although the backwards feeling was odd, and packed a bit of a whallop.

Is it me, or does it only spin when you are on the lift hill?

There's some great pics there, it really does look like a good quality park. When I went to Germany in March none of the parks were open which I was annoyed about! It's not good at all. it's absolutely amazing, everything just seems so well thaught out, the theming hits you straight away, the rides...

well on the churchill china website their is an e-mail adress for mr roper does anyone want ot try it out? Do you actually think he's going to listen? It would be pointless. Why use up your own time just to say you disagree with his point of view and probably throw a couple of insults at him? It lo...

What are the capacities of Wooden Coasters? Also, Europa Park. where on EARTH would they put a woodie? :-p For the first one, don't know, but they are lower than steel ones, I don't understand it either. :-? Where Atlantica is? They are expanding there, but I was only using Europa Park as a back up...

A steel one would have a higher capacity, and for a ride this size you'd need a capacity exceeding that of Nemesis. I doubt the guy is wrong, not when he has hundreds of theme park contacts around the world, and when he is head of the ECC. I'm confused. Why would a steel coaster have a higher capaci...

I was speaking to somebody a couple of years ago about the woodie, and he is a VERY reliable source (he hates rumours), he said that AT withdrew it because of potential capacity problems experienced with wooden roller coasters, the same reason why Europa Park aren't planning on building one anytime...

Why don't we, going off attitudes here, put a Tesco Express at the bottom of Towers Street? I mean, come on. I would rather have eating outlets themed with the areas than American globalizing rubbish like McDonalds and Subway. I never said i particularly rate Greggs, I just prefer it to Subway. In ...

Ive never ate at a subway. But I hear they are meant to be really good. I would love to see one somewhere in alton towers as to be honest anything is better than the Mc Donalds rubbish. :P They're okay, if you want to try them then by all means do so (I actually have nothing against Subway), I just...

A woody could quite easily be built with the new noise abatement. Apparently Intamins are very quiet. and all will be muffled by trees anyway (and it isn't close to the Ropers). It's not the locals who would be bothered by the noise, don't forget there is wildlife in Churnet Valley, that was the ma...

What happens when a kid is JUST one metre tall and the staff get moaning parents pestering them to let their kid in for free because they won't get on any more rides because of the extra centimetre. The staff would just have to say "Nope, only persons under 1m get in free, I'm afraid you're going t...

Here's an idea I was playing around with, why not have the station to this new coaster in the valley? It could mean that only one lift hill would be required, and have the queuing area start in Ugly-land.

This was a message I got from a guy called Martin Porter (an ECC member), who lives in Kent: I don't think there's much left of the former park now. I saw some photos of the Log Flume being demolished on the Save Dreamland website the other week; looks like the Runaway Coaster's fate could be next s...
