Opening times for most of the 2013 season have been published by Alton Towers:

Most days seem to be 5pm close with Saturdays/holidays being 5:30pm and 6:00pm for Summer holidays...

You can't get bottled drinks or bagged sweets I believe HOWEVER, you can get pre-packed sandwiches from Corner Coffee and Wobble World Cafe, perfect to eat on the way home...

How popular was Scarefest last year in terms of gate numbers? If I remember though BH and CoS didn't sell that many tickets though being on park, so perhaps we'll see a return to the mazes being up at the hotels...
