Re: Alton Towers Resort Future - General Discussion

I laughed at the fact they put Charlie XCX as the headliner instead of Dua Lipa, let alone the shoddy photoshopping skills...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Out of interest, is this something that the council has automatically extended or has the park chosen to extend the deadline? I believe this has been requested by the park / Merlin which is a great sign that they are keen to proceed with development within a few years. Do you think Thorpe will ever...

Trims on an RMC? Absolutely not!

I don't think it looks as good as Steel Vengeance due to being generally shorter, but it does have the pacing benefit of not having the mid-course brake run.

Re: MYTHICA: World of Magical Creatures - 2021

Yep, for the busiest and most popular park in the UK, I don't think there is a ride there that does over 800 people per hour.

Re: Fright Nights

Thorpe Park has unveiled a ‘FEARSTIVAL’ of attractions as FRIGHT NIGHTS 2020 was launched at a special VIP and media preview event on Thursday. With two scare mazes, five scare zones, roaming scarecrows, and a cinema experience, fear has crept into every dark corner of the Island. SouthParks were in...

If I book a night in the hotel for Fright Night season, as a Merlin Annual Pass holder, do I get automatic entry into the park or do I have to use a 'pre-book ticket'?

I believe you get an automatic reservation for your pass, but it's worth checking with the park to confirm

Looks good - just hope they are integrated with the existing themes well, and not just plonked there.

Re: Intamin General Discussion

Interesting. Despite the obvious imitations, we can certainly say that Intamin are good at keeping up with competitors, and appear to have the most diverse portfolio of ride types out there. This is a huge advantage in building relationships with parks, and being able to offer package deals to opera...
