Shockwave was designed by B&M when they worked for Intamin. It is because of this that the ride looks like a B&M. It is also the reason that it is the only stand up coaster to have a Zero-G Roll. it may have been designed by intamin whilst b&m were still a part of the company but that i...

why is everyone so certain B&M will never venture into launched coasters? just because they haven't yet doesn't mean they never will. there is a first time for everything and launched coasters are a very marketable thing at the moment as intamin are finding out. and what is everyones source that...

You obviously don't like being called a kid yet you come out with an immature and childish comeback like that? If you don't have pictures then don't bother replying in regards to them, simple as. grow up and you won't be called a little kid. And as for the Huss Delerium, check out http://www.hussrid...

Let's not be thick. Any Top Scan couldn't beat the RMT in my eye's. Ride's aren't just about intensity. Sure, flats can be very intense but that's not the point. A good ride is not about a thrill, but an experience. Look at Air! Flat are fair rides, nothing more and nothing less. Good Rollercoaster...

And failing that, the parks ride don't provide all that much of a "thrill" anyway, compared to Alton's they are very much family rides. I would say that Thorpe Parks rides are at least as thrilling as altons if not more so. what have alton got to go up against thorpes flat rides, which are quality ...

Park looks very tired and empty Looks like the park will have to invest in a new coaster and a cople of good flats: ie K.M.G Afterburner or Top Scan( Top Buzz) to bring in some punters. you haven't been reading this topic lately have you? they have turned into a kids park, them rides are out of the...

it isn't just aimed at young children. it is a greta ride for everyone. there are always going to be some people who don't like any ride built but the queue times it earns aren't entirely down to slow throughput. they are equally down to popularity. the amount of people that go on this ride and enjo...

And it really is faster than it looks. I'm sure it's faster that 60mph... I have to nerve to say the launch is better than Xcelerator's (0-82mph in 2.3 secs). Yep, I found it as fast, and more enjoyable than that accerlation. Call me crazy you are crazy. if they advertise the ride as going 60mph, t...

i think you could get a new boomerang for less than £7mil. they are a basic, small footprint coaster designed to provide smaller parks with a respectable thril ride on a budget. considering rita cost about £10mil with the rest of the ugland refurb, id say your looking at £4-5mil for a vekoma boomera...

an alternative to the x sector idea would be to put it in forbidden valley, in or around the nemesis pit, and theme it as a drill used to dig nemesis up. they may have to extend the pit into the car park and do some rearranging of queuelines but i think that would be a cool ride and it could be 1/2 ...

You dont neccesrily have to be a doctor who fan to go on the ride. im not particularly interested in vikings but still loved valhalla at the pleasure beach. people would ride it through curiosity and it will become popular providing it contains thrills and good special effects. there is potentially ...

It was a fun ride that will be missed but considering the age and the condition of the ride, it had to go. i enjoyed it but it was barely keeping together and im sure it wasnt far away from falling down.

I will miss you dearly :(

Funky theme but a bit of a hash to be honest. The theming is tacky and minimal and doesn't immerse you into it. it also sticks out like a sore thumb in merrie england. good ride but it would have been better to either keep the old theme or spend a bit more money in making the new theme better.

heritage and history are no excuse to keep a now average ride which no longer attracts big queues and has aged terribly. The thing is falling apart and is as rough as hell. it should definitely be remembered for what it has done for AT but all good things come to an end. Other historic rides have le...

i'm sure the business isn't as glamorous as it seems. owning alton towers will involve long days of busiess meetings and stuff rather than designing rides and riding them all day. i would much rather visit the place than run it.
