Longer opening = more noise and traffic in the local area.
If AT want to continue to expand they need to appease their neighbours. Opening later (for a small number of guests) doesn't outweigh the problems faced when planning applications are turned down due to late night traffic and noise...

Anyone who has the skills requested in that job description is very unlikely to want to apply.
Someone who is not only an AV expert, manager, accountant, motivator, communicator, designer, implementer and general genious is not going to work at Towers....

I would bet my life savings that if anyone on this forum tried to run the park then it would go bust in seconds. I put the problem as profiteering. The creative talent is there and anyone who says the management isn't making an effort is an arse and if I was the manager I wouldn't be to happy about...

When Alton Towers decided to make a day out at their attraction purely about making money it completely lost its magic for me. It seemed like another world before you were bombarded by pay to use games, fast food everywhere and shortcut tickets a plenty. Alton seem to be selling themselves short. Th...

Removing Spinball would be a nightmare. I'm sure Tussauds/Merlin are not that desperate to be rid of it....especially not to another of their parks! The technical issues are directly related to the crappy maintenance at Alton. The tech team don't put the effort in and the rides break. Simple as. Pha...

The scenario was testing the emergency response to a CNB attack, but also testing Alton Towers as a place of "rest" during an attack. Meaning that AT could be used a potential resting point, hostel, emergency hospital etc etc for the public and emergency services during an attack at other ...

Pretty much all of the Black Shark footage has made its way onto the YourDay promo video. I think there is a topic around about giving you the direct link.

It's not a very good TV advert. It's excellent on park promotion, but for TV it's a bit flat and uninspiring.

Still a fantastic bit of media though. :)

Scream at Heide Park is excellent. Best one I have done for sure. There are a few travelling ones on the German circuit that looked the part, but gave a bit of a dodgy ride. As Tim Westwood would say "big props" to the small drop towers at Tripsdrill in Germany though, they are park built ...

Too big, too quick. Not too sure on this one. Europa is a fantastic park, but when it's busy, it's really really noticable. Due to fantastic ride selection it has great throughput, but more hotels without a real "secondary" attraction (waterpark, golf course, zoo etc etc) the theme park will be put ...

Here's a tip for you though. Why not just search Google for Mondial and find the answer yourself?

I just got back from three days at Phantasia, staying at Hotel PhantASIA. Was excellent as usual.but need to clear a few things up. 1) Black Mamba is better than Nemesis. Themeing is better and the ride is just fantastic. 2) Colorado Adventure isn't the RMT. The RMT is nothing in comparison IMO. Col...

The terrible news has hit Google, Sky, BBC and local/national radio.

It's a terrible thing to happen at the hight of the season and of course to the people involved.
