Re: Which Rides Do You Not Ride?

Submission.
Maybe if both arms were going it would be more fun. As mentioned above I too find it boring.

The Blade.
Another one I just can't be bothered with.

Was also going to say the Corkscrew. But now its gone.

Re: Are you happy that the Corkscrew is going?

I hate to say it but am glad its going. Never been a fan of it.

Ok its got the history and that but would say I was more upset when the Black Hole went.

Re: Chessington Halloween Hocus Pocus

Was really dissapointed with Hocus Pocus this year. Nothing new, same out theming dragged out again. They could have done so much more. The sealife centre was a great addition to the park this year. For example why not use this as a theme to the market square halloween show. There are some scary loo...

Re: Where Do You Eat At Alton?

Quite like the fish & chip place by Ripsaw. Thats where we normally eat.
Nice chippies there.. :P

Or quite like the hotdogs from that stand near Battle Galleons.

Re: Musical Ruth: The Alton Towers Nun!

I nearly got mowed down the other day by Musical Ruth ( the bald guy )

That thing sure does get up some speed :D Love how they have customised it for halloween.

Re: Best rides to go on in the dark?

Has to be Nemesis. Though Air was quite good on the front too. Best nite ride I had on Nemesis was when they had those DJ Lights on it a few years back. Really added to the experience.

I don't think Towers Street is too bad at the moment. Where the Frog Fountains are a water feature based on something like the Flying Machine outside the hotel could look nice, but nothing too big that would block the view of the Towers. Building wise I would rather keep the character than have anyt...

Re: Photo Points

Nice idea. People love photos with the characters and if there was a place and time you knew that character would be there it would be much better. For example a friend of mine never saw any of the Scarefest characters last year and I bet there were a lot of others that missed them too, which is a s...

Regarding the monorails they look great and the theme works well. Views out of the windows of do not matter so much. As said using these transfers or whatever they are on the Skyride is a poor decision. People class the Skyride as an ride and not just a mode of transport around the park. Ok the curr...

I got caught on Rita once during a hail storm, the ride was closed after our circuit but the force of it hitting your face was quite scary. You could just not even open your eyes at all. It really does sting.

I've only been to Thorpe once this year which is very unusual for me. Every park has its ups and down from year to year but this have to say Alton is back on top and I've enjoyed every visit. The touch ups to Alton has been top notch this year, the little things make such a difference. Hopefully nex...

Ok they are naf but hey its extra entertainment. Can't see the reason for putting them in Mutiny Bay show area though, Cred Street area or even Towers Street would be more suitable. Perhaps its easier to set up the sound system  Would to see the park do a few odd summer shows like Warwick Cast...

New for 2008 ? What a mess. Surely it would not take much to repair this ? http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/6021/tpsl4.th.jpg Was the base of Tidal Wave really painted this year? I could not believe how much had pealed off already and faded. I love Thorpe but it is looking a tad grotty in places t...

Has to be Fright Nights for me. The lighting is the main thing that wins it over for me, it really does add to the atmosphere. Surely it would not cost much to add some coloured lighting to some of the rides and trees at Alton this year instead of the boring white floodlights. http://thumb13.webshot...

The monorail is the first and last experience for guests, and the more memorable the better in my opinion! Absolutely agree with that comment and its so nice to see the thought and detail being put into these. Not so keen on this one but its nice they are so different. The Mutiny Bay followed by th...

It really does add to the experience for me plus they actually look like they enjoy what they doing. The park really is the best its been for years :D

Very nice detailed map. Its seems to bring back the magical excitement back. At least they ditched those awful signs from the past few years. Did wonder what those chains were at the back of X Sector at first. The white sun glow in the middle of Air and Corkie and well spaced area behind the Edge Ga...
