I think the figure of eight was discussed but decided it was an element which would not be an important feature of the ride compared to the launch and top hat, much like I found Ritas launch and first corner very entertaining and impressive I can remember little else of the ride, but I have only rid...

You can get that especially in the summer holidays but i dont think thats just Thorpe, off peak is preferable with a much better mix of mostly couples and familys, its difficult to offer thrills without attracting the "wrong" crowds, especially with Thorpes location near london, Alton has the advant...

I have said before, Amity Cove is one of Tussauds finest works in recent times and soon to have Tidal wave (Amity Cove) with a backdrop of Stealth, nice. Alton clearly has the better setting/location, but thats not theming itself although Thorpes lakes are not bad, considering how near central Londo...

At the end of the day, Stealth is exactly the same as Kinga Ka, with smaller statistics. That isn't exactly a good thing.

2003 :firebounce: I would visit again, possibly next year, Slammer alone is worth it. lots of installations since 2003, i wouldnt visit in 2003, would now. Very good park, but so is Alton. Rita is good but overated, its all so fast but then its over too quick, Nemesis is good because its fast enoug...

I actually think stealth will be a very british Rollercoaster, whilst there is bigger and more complicated versions of this type Stealth will be unique anyway, its a very compact layout and will I think it will give a very different ride for it, i think the airtime hill will be especially helped by ...

No doubt its gonna look good when finished, more than worth getting soaked on Tidal wave to see the unique view from the top of there, stunning.

Its really going to set that area of, and the view from the car park, Vortex looks good from the car park also.

I would think a shorter (in length) airtime hill would give a much more intense feeling than a longer one, it looks like a good height and its stumpyness could be a good thing especially at speed, could be a superb feeling.

I like the bose cannons in the Nemeis Inferno station, they gotta be worth a few quid, really helps the atmosphere in there with is dull thud as you leave the station.

More photos on Thorpes site, they are not wasting any time here, probably making the most of the reasonable weather at the moment. Mentions the Entrance Tyre feature foundations so it looks like it will be a tyre for sure like Ritas although this was in the plans before Rita was conceived. http://ww...

Rollback brakes makes sense, incase the launch is not at full capacity for some reason, safety precautions. Exciting stuff, first bit of track being laid. This is a big project for Tussauds and I hope it all goes smoothly unlike the much bigger Kingda Ka, I'm really looking forward to this ride, its...

Question for you? Whats the metal plates for which rise up in front of the Coaster cars before they launch then drop just before you leave the station, they seem to be on all hydraulic launch Coasters but I cant work out what they do, there is a hydraulic winch to pull the car but what are the plate...

Ok!! I think everything is going out of hand. Thorpe is a brilliant place just as Alton is just as Chessington is. They all offer something different so they can not be compared equally. Yes Alton has the atmosphere and the coasters, thorpe has the flats and the thrills. and chessington has the kid...

Alton has its fair share of "incidents" no less than Thorpe anyway, chessington certainly has the least of the three. Chessington is a good park, Proffesor burbs Bubble works could be argued to be Tussuads best themed ride ever, i hope they dont ruin it in the revamp. Disney has different parks and ...

Yeh i cant see any new updates either but maybe there is somewhere. Will be exciting to see the track take shape and when eventually the top hat is added in a few months, foundations and groundwork is ok but track etc will be much more interesting to watch :D Construcion seems pretty quick really i'...
