I dont mind Rush or Slammer as names, Slammer is especially good, it fits the ride perfectly, The name Rush whilst not great is not awfull either  I'm more interested in the ride than the name, imagine the Tidal Wave ride splashing in extreme fashion like it does with a 200ft Coaster towering b...

Its a fair point they are fairly similar names, could get some cross promotion going though, Vortex is a cracking ride, could have a slogan You have experienced the twisting forces of Vortex, can you now survive the speed and height of a our new Icon rollercoaster Vertex. Then put the Dictionary def...

It is bad Alton rapids are far better, nothings happen on it, you just bob about a bit in one wave pool section and thats it, no watefalls like Altons or nothing, rubbish.

Also No Way Out at Thorpe, cure for insomnia, certainly...I'm ashamed to have it there  I knew i would see this ride appear on this thread I think its a balance to be honest but I dont think any ride is worth a 2 hour queue for what is normally such a short ride. I have never had to queue more...

Can I just say, Firestone are company involved in cars, and I severely doubt the name will be that!

They could use the name Firestone, it would be an advertising money making scheme for Thorpe too and we know how tussauds like sponsored rides.

I think they should call it Vertex

I have been on something either like that or the same and i can only describe it as a form of torture, put you in a cage with little or no padding and spin it around at great speed until the point where you just want to get out. I like extreme rides but this was different, just plain painfull :( I'm...

Does seem a little random as a setting but it works for me. Those vids are quality, it always amazes me how willing people are to risk losing there very expensive cameras on fairly extreme rides amd then fight to hold it still, still i suppose the straps on most cameras are pretty good these days. I...

i think the main safety problem at fairs is the people that go to them. There are usually people there just trying to cause trouble. Not wrong there most Fun Fair or Theme park accidents can be attributed in some way to the rider not being sensible, its like the rides have to have safety mechanisms...
