Re: Thorpe Park: Future Discussion

I totally agree that they should keep up the differentiation between areas, i know it has been argued that thorpes guests do not notice the different themed areas but i dont think thats entirely true. Also Thorpe did have some good and unique ideas behind their themed areas they just need re-enforci...

Re: Thorpe Park: Future Discussion

I would remove the rollercoaster and gut the station areas. This would leave a big building with so much potential for a great dark ride. A ride like Duel could easily fit into Thorpe Park, with perhaps an 'alien' theme with large scale effects. It would probably have to be a laser shooter, though,...

Re: Chessington 2010: Wild Asia!

Wow just caught up on all the posts and news about Chessington! Im soooo pleased that chesington are getting some real attention and direction after years of little investment. As a kid it was the most magical place i can remember as i never went to Alton Towers so its good to see it getting some of...

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

I'm not nessacerally talking about a worlds first, but maybe something along the lines of dinosaur at animal kingdom, spiderman at IOA or even a good replacement for the deceased witches haunt! What you guys think? I think a dark ride like this is exactly what Thorpe also needs and indeed the UK as...

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

Im sure it is to just generate some publicity.

But im really looking forward to this attraction as it is just a nice new addition to the park that is something different to what Thorpe Park have already.

Re: Thorpe Park: Future Discussion

This sounds interesting and quite feasible - however i like the Lost City theme so i hope they expand on it with a potential coaster instead of build a ride in a completely different them.

Thanks

The extension looks interesting difficult to imagine what it will actually look like but i think it will create a better experience.

Re: Legoland Windsor 2010: Pirates Landing

The two suspended coaster ideas look really interesting. I dont know how good they would be in reality but they seem really unique and original.

Re: Legoland Windsor 2010: Pirates Landing

Im really impressed with the investment Merlin are putting into legoland. Its good to hear its not just a re-theme but they are getting a swinging boat too. Does anyone know if the 4D cinema will be in the 'new' pirate area or somewhere else. I really dont get the logic on parking yes it equals mone...

Re: Chessington 2010: Wild Asia!

True, but then the last time Chessington added anything of any value it was up against Spinball (arguable which one is better) and Samurai (Which it owned in the first place). The Disko is only the start of Chessington's investment. The park rebranding is the main part of 2010 with planning permiss...

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

At least we now know for definite that the attraction will be on Thorpe Bell. Im actually quite pleased about the queue being on the land as this could really make the attraction more prominent and add to it if they put in theming like stated on the plans, as i was worried that they would not bother...

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

I am so excited about the new SAW: Alive maze, and think it would work perfectly in Thorpe Park's future in becoming a movie park. Creating Canada Creek into a horror-movie themed area. Atleast that's what a very chatty lady on the phone to guest services! :) By the way, I have it 100 percent of th...

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

I am genuinely excited about this attraction as it is just that a attraction and more than a ride, which THorpe desperately needs. However i really do hope they do not charge extra for this as it would mean they are not learning from the mistakes Alton made with extra priced attractions, as they nee...

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

I think putting it on Thorpe Belle is actually a good move - they are finally doing something with that massive boast instead of just leaving it there.

Does anyone know what their budget for the park next year is, and whether they will be making any changes in the park?

Re: THORPE PARK 2010

To be honest im quite pleased with this news, mainly because its something different for the park and not another flat. As to were it will go i think i read somewhere on this forum that Samurai would be put in a different area of the park so maybe they could build the maze there? I do however hope t...
