Re: Corkscrew: Closure Confirmed on 9th November 2008!

It would be great if this iconic ride could be donated to the Save Dreamland Campaign and become part of the proposed heritage theme park. Then this fantastic ride could live on. Yea but the thing is that it is to old to move and it would need new trains anyway. Theirs nothing that can be done to s...

Re: Submission - Removal?

Their was a roumer that when Saw - Ride opens that it would have a flat ride as a crowd puller. With those big silver saw/blade things on the top i think that submission could look really good in a red/black/brown paint job. So could it be heading down to Thorpe?

Re: Thorpe Woody

I agree i think a woody would be alot better at alton then Thorpe. I would really love to see a giga coaster streching from Calypso Quay down to the Thorpe Farm area a bit like a mini Goliath.

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon 6

A woodie is not planned for Thorpe, I would like very much to see what model that you happen to be talking about. The reason is, it would be too dense for the supports and the land is not fully solid like Alton Towers. The land would be unstable and don't forget a wooden coaster is a family option ...

Re: 2010: Secret Weapon 6

Thorpe may be getting a Woody. They have alredy have had a model made, The ride is planned to go on the new island behined Stealth and the Flying Fish. I think a woody would be better at Alton Towers going down the valley

Re: Thorpe Woody

Well Thorpe Park already have a model of the ride some were. And they said that it would be simular Mammut. And the train and the electrical system of Mammut were made by Gerstlauer so you never know what sourt of deal they have going on. I cant see this opening untill 2011-2012 time.

The elusive Thorpe Woody

This is a quote that i found on Southparks. ''As always rumours come and go. Rides ideas are tossed about. Some make it, some do not. Some rumours however seem to pop up time and time again, like that wooden roller coaster, the MTDP deemed as too dence. Things however, look like change could very we...
