A tilt coaster in to the valley would be stunning. But i think that if it were a valley coaster then a B&M would be far better in terms of comfort and through put of the ride.

Thats good news i guess but it wil have to be done well not like some rusty old track dumped in some corner.

Well the thing is i cant see it being sold to anouther park as they would need new trains. It would be nice if they kept the corkscrews and put them somewhere. But i think its most likely to be sold for scrap.

Well only time will tell it its a worthy replacement for the corky. The valley coaster would be super im just hoping it isnt some Eurofighter.

I agree totaly with that post. Im doing a travel and Tourism cource at college and wev bin learning about how less people are going aborad on holidays and staying in the uk cause of rising prices. At the moment i can only see more people visiting Alton and markting it at familys has been a very good...

Its not that compact. Its about the same size an Inferno. When i go to thorpe next i'll try and get some pics from Colossus then you should be able to get a better view of the size of the ride.

The air time hill is now complete and theirs only a couple of peices of track left to go up.

Im going to try and get to this event i only rode the Corkscrew the first time this year as my dad told me to ride it. The last time my dad went to Alton Towers was when the Corkscrew was only 2 weeks old so im going to try and talk him in to taking me so we can both have a last ride. R.I.P Corkscrew

I got my card today so may attend this. Im doing a Travel & Tourism course and am doing all about Alton Towers at the moment and am really injoying the course.

Some one metioned it being near the carpark how easy would it to have a seconed entrance on the carpark that could be used during the closed season then just have a small charge like £5 of somthing like that. Im not to sure were abouts it would be loacted so not sure if t possible or not.

As long as it dont look as tacky and messy as the one at Chessington then i think it could be quite good. I was always expecting them to put Pirates 4d film in their.

The tower is now complete with the lift hill now joined to the drop.

Okay so sue me, I'm officially a pants coaster enthusiast! I had absolutely no idea about this coaster apart from the little tit-bits I'd been fed by close frineds through MSN and at meets. I.AM.SHOCKED! I knew about the theme way before I even knew of the coaster and before I saw these photos but ...

I saw this on the news and thourght this idea as well but didnt post it as i thourght it was a slighlty random thing to post but hey youv done it now. I was think how good it could be if the bypass was bulit i would bo so brillant. I still cant belive someone else thourght of this as well.

Surely a 100' drop is the same as a 80' drop? I mean, wouldn't you go faster on a pure 90' drop? If Speed and Rage are anything to go by, the drop just feelf vertical when your on it anyway, so it all seems a bit unneccessary to me. I agree with that but i think they have done it just to rub oakwoo...
